How do we go about fixing our penal system, /pol/? It's become blatant that there is a problem:

If I went to jail and was allowed to be by myself I would jump for the opportunity. No way in hell would I hang out with a bunch of niggers and white niggers.

Most of the foreign people that I work with like the fact that in America if you break the law you actually go to jail.
I think we should just legalize drugs, and treat addiction as a public health problem. It would cost way less, and if people really want to vote themselves out of the gene pool, so be it.

there are many different ways which are better then our current system.
the one i currently think is best is by giving power back to the people and taking it away from the government.
the governments right to punish is too much power. it cant even handle it. there is more than enough evidence to prove corruption and incompetence. the power to punish should be put back into the hands of the people. where courts regulate on what punishments are acceptable.
and also, when a crime is commited, that person gets a job in jail and makes the government money. but why isnt this person making money to pay back the fucking victim? has nobody thought of this?
