India should be slightly blue. It has military links with Russia and is friendly with Russia+Iran and slightly friendly with China but under Modi they have moved more into the blue camp. Modi has cultivated a closer relationship with Israel, he has played hard on the fact that India is the worlds largest democracy, and he has deepened military cooperation with with the US and Japan and has started to take part in US/Japan naval drills aimed at sending the message that the three of them will sail through the South China Sea freely together and that if China tries to use force it might face all three of them there.
India also often competes against Chinese interests and regards Chinese influence as something which should be challenged in nearby countries such a Sri Lanka.
