When I was a young lad first enrolling in university I thought I wanted to know how humans though. That I could use my special powers to help rid the world of toxic behavior at the root source. This compulsion drove me through my university studies to get the coveted degree in my field.
4 years later I was done I had my BA in hand and I was ready to do some actual work instead of just internship hours.

I learned how humans think and why they act the way they do but the truth is hard to swallow. Once you peer into the mind of the modern human you realize that there was nothing there worth saving.

When I was an undergrad I had to take one course in some category I can't remember. It was pop-culture and politics. The teacher said "I don't want to be biased, so I won't tell you my political affiliation until the end of the semester, and you have to try to guess!"
She had us listen to NPR and watch feminist shit. The only time I opened my mouth was when someone asked a question the teacher was too stupid to answer regarding legal stuff or actual statistics. I'm not religious myself, but I have family that is and have some close family friends that are priests. As long as you're not hurting anyone, then I don't see any problem with someone leading a religious lifestyle. It brings some people peace, so to each their own. I know this feel of sorts. When you try and have a good view of humanity but it's very obscured. I believe 4chan really gives us a different glimpse into the real human mind set. The problem is that humans will always, always lie or omit truth or do whatever it takes to LOOK better. Instead of doing the thing to just BE better. On the subject of education I think that's why it's suffering. There are people like you, like me, who want to learn and think. Who are naturally intellectual. Those people throughout history have found ways of using their knowledge to get rewarded. They get attention for it, better jobs, accomplishments etc.
Well now you have people who see that, want to be CONSIDERED like those people but are definitely unwilling to put in the genuine effort. Even if it's just because that's boring. The A+ student reads the cliff notes; the C student read the whole book and had their own opinions on it and got sidetracted with their own thoughts on the subject than by trying to APPEAR to get it so the teacher can give them the reward.

It's really easy to get into Grad School as a Philosophy Major. Generally, they get fast tracked into top law schools.
