>>
>>68174981
Trump's found that in the same way that 4channers make bait threads to create a discussion, he makes bait twitter posts to create a discussion on a far larger scale.

He probably wasn't sure that thousands of Muslims celebrated 9/11, but by claiming it as a truth, the topic was discussed and it was found out that his unfounded statement just so happened to be true.

So if he isn't sure about global warming or vaccines, he can generate discussion to settle the matter by pretending to know.

Science isn't a magical thing that's always right. It's a simply a means of thinking and communication.

Rigorously proving your assertions quantitatively with a clearly defined margin of error is science.

Posting infographics, cherry picking findings and studies that support your cult-like belief, and bitching about le unenlightened theists while ironically sucking scientists' dicks like they're infallible prophets is not science.

He called illegal immigrants a bunch of rapists and drug dealers in his first speech when he announced he was running.

The thing about executing innocent civilians has been brought up in several debates, including the last one IIRC. He has repeatedly said he will kill the families of ISIS. Even when it's pointed out that this is a war crime violating the Geneva Convention. Even when multiple people involved with the military (and an ex-NSA chief I believe) have told him soldiers would refuse an order to murder innocent civilians, he sticks with it.

Seriously I know /pol/ thinks this is all fun and games, but a democracy only works if you're informed. Please stop voting for a candidate you know nothing about, stop voting for a candidate when you can't even be bothered to listen to him talk or pay attention to his positions. Changing family structures are likely to be a cause.
Experiments have demonstrated if monkeys were denied a mother and instead given a cold impersonation of one they could do nothing but cling to, they would become autistic.
So if you just toss your kid in kindergarten so you can work and aren't attentive to the child when you're both at home, the risk of autism increases slightly.

He doesn't mean that. Someone in his position is quite obviously smart enough to know that if you add trillions of tonnes of C02 to the atmosphere at a rate, hundreds or even thousands of times faster than would happen naturally, then there's obviously going to be adverse effects.

Now, what he can't say - what nobody can say - is that there's nothing you can actually do about it.

Let's tell a story.
That's the biggest lie. That you can tax your way out of climate change. Or that you can do anything at all. The only thing world powers can do about climate change/global warming is make money off it.

Look at it this way. Subtract deaths from births and around 2.6 people are added to the planet every second.
The 300 people that died on that Malaysia Airlines flight - so that Rothschild could be the only patent holder of an extremely lucrative semiconductor prototype - were replaced in little under 2 minutes.

Fossil fuels aren't just the petrol in your car. They're the fertiliser on the land, any medicine you take, anything made of plastic or rubber. Anything made of anything else employed fossil fuels in their creation.

Efforts against climate change are nothing more than scientists pissing into the wind for money from tax payers, and governments charging that tax to line their own pockets, because the amount of people required fossil fuels to exist in this world is increasing by 2.6 every second.

That's 226 THOUSAND extra people per day. And people unironically believe we can actually do something about that daily increase in demand....

What no politician is allowed to say, is that the only way to reduce the demand on earth's resources, is to reduce the population.

You people have no idea what's coming.

So, in the meantime, he says the only thing he's *allowed* to say - which is anything but the truth, no matter how crazy. Though at least "crazy" will get manufacturing back on American soil before "shit starts happening".

We could be doing things far more efficiently though.
For example, if you went very deep underground and placed a thousand square-metre photovoltaic cells half a millimetre thin and spaced apart by an equal distance, you'd have a geothermal energy generator only a cubic metre in size but collecting a thousand square metres of high infrared.
Maybe there's some rule of physics that says such a device wouldn't work, but with all my asking no one's been able to tell me any.

>photovoltaic cells

Solar panels capable of using infrared aswell as light to boost energy production by 30%
Placing them underground removes the solar light, leaving just the 30% provided by the infrared - a huge drop in viability basically.

However, solar is my choice of "green" energy. Wind is nothing but a fuckin tax scam. Enough solar energy, in joules, hits the surface of the planet in 24 hours, to run the planets energy needs for almost as many years. Seriously we should be putting everything we have into solar - particularly with infrared developments.

It would help, but I still forsee a necessary "reduction in numbers".

It's not very efficient per square metre, sure, but a solar panel always has to be exposed to sky.
Whereas what I'm suggesting is actual extremely useful to use underground.
The problem with going deep underground is that it gets hot.
But, if you have walling for an underground room that is a dozen layers of photovoltaic plating with air between each, then you could actually get the place to be pretty cold and generating a huge amount of electricity.
Each little bit of infrared radiation that goes from plate-to-plate has a good chance of being turned into electricity, and not only will any amount of heat flowing into the room have to roll the dice like that countless times, but heat already in the room can be lost in the same way.
A strategy like this can allow you to build as deep underground as you like just as long as it's not so hot that it would melt an outermost tungsten wall.

In comparison to China, we are unable to compete due to arbitrary limitations put on industry, where as China has none. They can literally shoot trash into the ocean and no one would bat an eye. One the innocent civilian thing, ISIS is actively attempting genocide in the Middle East with mass killings and cleansings of entire towns and cities. For you to complain about the poor families of those that are doing a genocide, the same families that fully support the genocide and fully support the people doing it, is atrocious. You are effectively defending a genocide and only making it more difficult to bring it to a stop by yet again wanting arbitrary rulesets that the enemy doesn't follow brought into the game. What, you think ISIS will follow international law after already committing to a genocide? You libcucks are honestly fuckng stupid.

While it would work, I reckon that if we were damning the price and digging until things got hot, then the same amount of energy could be got much more cheaply to use the heat down there to boil water and run steam turbines - all the heat of a nuke station to boil the water with, none of the radioactive waste. In fact, I'm surprised we're not doing this. AFAIK, they do in Iceland, but only because geothermal heat routes are much closer to the surface.
>>
>>68182725
Why don't we just nuke the ground until there's a geothermal heat route?

This statement doesn't make sense. Why would the Chinese conceive the concept of global warming to put others at disadvantages when they're the worst offenders of it?
