Do you think killing and eating plants is moral?

We must stop plants from devouring the Sun.
Photosynthesis absorbs 10000 different spectrums of light beams of cosmic rays of energy.
Plants want to eat the Sun !

Does not compute, pirogi.
>>68156374
Does it matter?
No it's not, because robbing an appletree of all of its fruits for decades and not letting it have offspring and then cutting it out is fucking shameful.
But then again when you point this out to the vegans/vegetarians it suddenly isn't about morality it's about feefees, so it's pointless to even discuss this.
Eating shouldn't be discussed in such serious ways anyway.
It's fucking retarded. If it's legal to eat a thing you should eat it if you enjoy eating it and if it lets you live an other day without making you fat.
>>68157765
I also have onions but I'm too lazy too peel their skins off right now. People get lazy sometimes, you know?
>>68156374
why did you chop up your brother?
plant is vegetative. has no consciousness. like sjw must be protect
Eventually I will defeat my laziness and make potatoe pancakes with onions and pepper. The vegetables must suffer.
>>68156374
No it's not moral, eat rocks instead.
>>68157859
Roots are not even fruits. They are alive and can grow in favorable conditions.
>>68156374
No I don't anon, but then again, according to the high and mighty vegetarians and vegans I am immoral for enjoying steak because it comes from a sentient creature.
With that being said I believe after reading this article that vegans and vegetarians should instead keep to their precious belief of not eating sentient creatures and leave plant life alone.
http://www.businessinsider.com/plants-know-they-are-being-eaten-2014-10?IR=T
>That plants possess an intelligence is not new knowledge, but according to Modern Farmer, a new study from the University of Missouri shows plants can sense when they are being eaten and send out defense mechanisms to try to stop it from happening.
Perhaps they should instead boil rocks and survive of them instead and leave the poor sentient plants alone.

Hungarian pancakes are better than normal pancakes with ketchup imho. Because of the meat and the sauce.
At the end, morality -unless you like Nietzsche- doesn't really matter. People that are vegan can't tolerate suffering, they don't understand the good that in the suffering. They just want to feel secure, like if they don't harm nobody the others/the world should tolerate their weakness. They project their fears in their actions. They think kindness is the natural state of the world. But real kindness isn't tolerance, is mercy, and it is just a human thing. And the only way to defend the week is to be strong and to defeat the bad ones, the evil.
>>68160476
>unless you like Nietzsche
But I do...
Is the urge to shitpost correlated with hunger? Now that I'm eating fries I don't feel like shitposting anymore. We can have a serious discussion right now.

Plants probably do feel pain, but nearly not as much as animals, therefore it's more moral to eat plants than animals. Of course, the most moral option would be to annihilate all life.
No life = no suffering.
>>68158844
What is tócsi? Looks like some kind of potato fritter.
Why on earth would someone boil a cut-up banana?
>>68156374
no.
if killing life is wrong, then killing animals is better than killing plants, because animals eat hundreds of plants
therefore humans are the top thing to eat.
>>68162715
Why isn't eating the weak moral? Also insects don't feel pain. We should all start eating insects.

That's the point.

>>68164320

>>68156374
Plants suck in carbon and exhale oxygen. While meat adds to the carbon levels. I think it's in global warmings best interest that we eat more meat and stop killing earth saving plants.
>>68163873
that's what I'm sayin; if vegetarians claim that meat is murder, then they're moralizing eating animals because they're the same as us, effectively equilizing humans to animals
but then agian; think of the argument of a meat eater
you eat meat because the animal is not conscious right?
so would you eat a retard?
therefore, I think neither side is right, because the moral instinct regarding food is natural, and can not be rationalized
if you think you shouldn't eat meat, then go ahead, i'll be the apex predator and you can be nothing more than a prey animal

It's not about being alive or not, it's about treatment.
Nature itself is ONE phenomenon, and what it is is a bunch of atoms going through different phases of existence, as different lifeforms. Each lifeform has it's own genetic history, "dictating" its niche in this nature. This genetic history is based on the lifeform's ancestors environment, and he/she/it is supposedly perfectly suited for this environment.
Each lifeform innately "knows" that within this environment lifeforms constantly consume one another, in order to preserve their own genetic material and passing it on, extinguishing whomever/whatever they kill. It's a system that has worked for a billion years.
The problem with how humans go about eating food is that we spawn (literally through forceful reproduction) TRILLIONS, TRILLIONS of lifeforms with no purpose other than to stand immobilized in a square their entire lives. Trillions of lifeforms that could have had viable lives within whichever environment they evolved to thrive in, whether they would have ended up as food or not.
Whether it's plants, or animals, the moral issue is not the consumption of them, but how we treat them. Reducing any lifeform's existence to what we humans subject them to is below any species that would call itself civilized. Any species that is intelligent enough will understand that is both harmful to the lifeforms, as well as ourselves (who are ALSO designed to consume lifeforms from within their respective environments) in the long run.
>>68166590
Who decides what is civilized and what is not? White males?
