Stereotypes reassign responsibility for the actions of an individual onto the group as a whole. It's the same shit logic that says that white people should feel white guilt over slavery/genocide/etc which was perpetrated by other people. It's the same logic that says all men are rapists. You're not a rapist just because the overwhelming majority of rapists are men, neither are minorities responsible for crimes they haven't personally committed.
