It's okay for the US labor force to decline if it means not taking in immigrants. A better policy however would be encouraging native-born reproduction so that we can ensure population is sufficiently steady so as to not affect the economy too much. Additionally, the US should avoid pyramid scheme entitlements that rely upon an unsustainable constantly expanding population.
New immigrants should have stayed in their own country and gotten jobs there.
