http://endingthefed.com/breaking-trump-just-revealed-his-plan-for-obamacare-and-its-better-than-we-dreamed.html

Holy fuck this gets me hard

tl;dr
1. Ask Congress to completely repeal Obamacare, including the individual mandate. “No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to.”

2. Modify existing laws to allow for the sale and purchase of health insurance plans across state lines. “By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up.”

3. Make health insurance premium payments fully deductible on an individual’s tax return in the same way that businesses are allowed to deduct their premium payments.

4. Permit individuals and families to use tax-free Health Savings Accounts. These accounts would not only be allowed to accumulate, but also be transferable and inheritable, and would be flexible enough to use on behalf of other family members if necessary.

5. Require transparency in pricing by health care providers and health care organizations, such as insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and clinics. “Individuals should be able to shop to find the best prices for procedures, exams or any other medical-related procedure.”

6. Convert Medicaid funding into block grants to the states. “The state governments know their people best and can manage the administration of Medicaid far better without federal overhead.”

7. Remove barriers to entry in the pharmaceutical drug industry. Making pharmaceutical drugs more of a competitive free market would bring down prices and improve safety and reliability by allowing consumers more options to fill their prescription drug needs.

I like 5 the best. 6 is retarded since states pretty much have full control of Medicaid.

The only thing I care about is the individual mandate.

Sounds incredibly, gotta say I'm jealous.
>>
>>68131103
This means you still pay a premium but later you can deduct it from the amoubt of money you have to pay in taxes, right?

How does that help the people that dont have health insurance cause its too expensive? Is the idea that they should be capable of affording an insurance after the prices drop fue to the free market policies?
>>
We need a complete moratorium on taxation on everyone and every company in the healthcare industry as well. This will create the growth needed to supply americans with enough affordable healthcare.

>Well for starters is that his plan would leave 20 million people without health insurance.
All health insurance companies, except a few in very white states (where responsible people live) are losing money on obamacare, and will soon exit the obamacare marketplace unless something is done to give them more money. People are abusing obamacare, using loopholes to get insurance when they aren't supposed to, and it is out of control.

It's a completely unsustainable system, and in fact, republicans getting rid of obamacare right before it fails is a fantastic out for the democrats, so they can try again and fuck up even worse.

-Wealthy elite benefit from required customers

For the primaries you have to be a registered republican or democrat to vote for either of them. I think this is because they're parties and aren't actual branches of the government. So their internal politics are regulated this way.

However I'm wondering if/hoping we aren't so cucked that we have to register for a party to vote in the general election.

Hypothetical scenario
>person can't get health insurance through employer for one reason or another
>person does not make enough to purchase insurance on their own and survive (cuts into food, transportation etc budgets)
>person is in the process of finding a better job that would allow for insurance to either be provided by the employer or become reasonably affordable but has not found one yet
>person is severely injured. E.g broken leg
>person can no longer work
>person has no insurance and so must pay for the entirety of treatment out of pocket
>under Obama care person is also cited and fined several thousand additional dollars for not being insured

You now have a person that is unable to work and saddled with not just tens of thousands of dollars of inescapable medical debt, but also federal fines tacked on as a final LOL FUCK YOU from Obamacare.

This is just one way it is shitty. There are a plethora of others.
>>
>>68137890
In the general election, yes you can.
>>
>>68136506
This is a serious boon to middle class families who had healthcare and liked it, and got shafted under Obamacare. Now they'll be able to save the 30% off the top due to the tax deduction. People who can't afford any healthcare during their working prime are usually on medicaid anyway.

those are all valid. but the primary problem with socialized healthcare is the low productivity it creates.

healthcare in very basic terms, is people performing services, and stuff. if we want enough workers, and enough stuff, we need to allow the free market to provide them for us, because the free market does it best. Ideally in a tax free environment as well.
>>
>>68138309

>1. Ask Congress to completely repeal Obamacare, including the individual mandate
You mean what Congress has tried to do 40+ times now and failed ato every single time?
>>
People don't realize how much of a difference having interstate competition for insurance companies. Most companies can charge whatever the hell they want in a particular state because they hold a monopoly. Allowing interstate competition means they no longer can price gauge or offer shit policies.

Giving full control of medicare to the state is pretty good, considering medicare is currently shit and gives little reimbursement to hospitals that even bother to accept it

Health savings accounts are even better because that's money you can set aside for medical costs that you know for sure will always be there and will never be held up by red tape or any other bullshit health insurance companies might pull

The biggest one is 7. Eliminating the big pharms monopoly on the FDA will allow more generic drugs to be sold in America, greatly reducing costs.

THe only people who would hate this are retarded liberals who want their shitty Universal Healthcare.

And since images speak louder than greentext here's a hospital's inner yard.
I took the picture about a month back visiting a doctor. The inside of the building is not much better condition as it's seen only minimal maintenance since it's construction. It isn't affordable.

You shouldn't pay a penalty just because you don't enlist. Risk of complete out-of-pocket payment should be penalty enough.

Because employers MUST provide health insurance to full-time workers, they have found loopholes by cutting people's hours just so they don't have to provide insurance.

>People don't realize how much of a difference having interstate competition for insurance companies. Not really, as companies can already sell policies to different states. The whole "selling across state lines" bit doesn't really make sense to me, because state regulations on health care plans vary wildly. I mean is Trump saying that you can say, buy a policy from a Kansas company (where there are possibly less regulations on health insurance) if you live in say an expensive health care state like California? If that is the case then its going to be a messy legal battle that Trump might lose. States will want to enforce their rights to regulate the insurance market, and buying an out of state plan that doesn't conform to your own states regulations might not hold up in court.

Of course Trump could also be saying that he will create national health insurance regulations that all states will have to comply with, but thats just another massive Federal takeover

I somewhat disagree with this. if the standard deduction is around 6500 a year, many people spend that much on mortgage interest alone pushing them from the standard deduction into the itemized bracket. adding another 2k on top of that for health insurance would certainly help the single middle class or small business owners.

I agree that many middle class people would benefit from the deductions, its the lower-middle class who will not be helped at all. Unless it's changed to a tax credit, then these people will be stuck paying increasing premiums out of pocket while not qualifying for medicaid. Many will likely just opt out of coverage, particularly if obamacare is repealed, then if something goes wrong they will either head to the ER or have to pay out of pocket or go bankrupt.

that is how he would prevent people dying in the streets.

The state pays for your health insurance if you are extremely poor (probably shit coverage btw) and you can pay for something better once you start making money.

I don't understand how this is a bad thing

>2. Modify existing laws to allow for the sale and purchase of health insurance plans across state lines. “By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up.”

THIS MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE!

ive been doing this for 13 years, and thats just not how it works. every state has their own department of insurance that regulates insurance sales within their state. this includes the companies that sell their products there, agents that are allowed to sell there, and so on.

so for instance i live in florida, and if i want to sell insurance in texas i have to pay the texas doi some fees in order to do so. if i have a customer complaint about me in texas it goes to the texas doi, because thats where texas has jurisdiction. texas has no jurisdiction in florida and at most can fine me or bar me from selling in their state. any legal action beyond that is implied to the doi in florida that they should do something. if this restriction is removed its essentially giving state agencies jurisdiction nationwide. im not opposed to getting rid of state dois and having a federal one. it costs me thousands of dollars a year to keep my licenses up to date in 40+ states and certain states make you jump through hoops and pay a fuck ton of fees and require extra registration of your business and all this bullshit.

i had this fuckstick customer in virginia complain about me to his doi. the guy made too much money to get a subsidized premium for his humana policy, so he had to pay full price. his complaint was i didnt put his application through the healthcare.gov site and instead i applied him directly through humana. same price, same policy. but because it wasnt done through the government he complained. virginia doi calls the florida doi and then 2 inspectors came to my office to hassle me and go through my records and so on. also AMA

That's what Democrats want, not Republicans.

Trump = RINO

So that automatically makes it bad then

>They would qualify for free coverage.
not necessarily. States that have not expanded medicaid under obamacare can have pretty strict requirements to get it. If you work a shit job but get by, you won't qualify but neither can you afford any health insurance premiums.

It's possible to change any law in the entire country entirely legally. Some things are far more difficult to change, though, like the constitution.

Youve watched a few internet videos, read a few huffington post articles, and seen Trump on TV. Don't act like you know anything but a biased brainwashing about what Trump is "REALLY" like.

Youve never met him and never will.
