I was never brought up with religion, and as I grew older, I became a generic atheist (but not fedora tier) and when I chose to look into religion instead of having all my knowledge from anti-religious sources that cherrypick the worse things.
Anyway, long story short, I had a dream where reality dissolved around me and as this happened I got a familiar "aha" feeling, as if this was all make believe (this reality) and I remember it was just a test, and then I felt the presence of God, it was an all powerful, warm but disappointed feeling God radiated (light yellow aura). As our "reality" dissolved and I was outside the illusion that is this life, I saw other humans as well, and we were all brought to God, as I felt these feelings.
God is not an angry or vengeful God, so that rules out all abrahamic religions. But God wants us as a species to grow spiritually, but instead we're obsessed with this material world, and most of us thing this material world is all there is.
God cares about us, and we have abandoned him because we got obsessed with arbitrary rules, factions and ideologies.
It was really sad, like a child disappointing his parent.

Christianity has evidence behind it despite what most people say. That evidence is mostly historical. First of all, Jesus definitely existed, that fact is only disputed by ignorant people because his name appears at dozens and dozens of books written by several different authors at different times, as well as several official documents such as the Roman census.
Second, he was executed by the Roman empire for the charges we all know about (claiming to be God, etc). And we also know that his body went missing from the burial site three days after his execution.
Now, how would the body go missing? It was a completely enclosed cave (you can visit it right now to check by yourself), there was a large stone covering the entrance and there were guards around protecting it as well. Jesus' disciples were all humble fishermen, they wouldn't be capable of killing the guards, moving the stone and stealing Jesus' body. Also, Jesus announced that he would resurrect three days after being killed much time before his death, and it is fully documented.
That's the historical evidence of Christianity. There are also cataloged miracles, all the prophecies on the Bible that proved to be true (and are still happening to this very day), and the testimony of thousands of people that had experiences with God.
Some people will still ignore all that evidence because they are blind though, as in it is literally impossible for them to see and understand that evidence. You should pray, OP.
