so I've noticed Trump often uses fascist gestures, language etc. in his speeches. not that there's anything wrong with that, but do you think he does this intentionally?
like, sometimes it's clearly intentional, for example when he "unknowingly" quoted Mussolini.
Or that other time when he let his followers raise their arm.
but I also noticed more subtle things like pic related.
or when he said something like "a lot of people were laughing at me. they're not laughing anymore" (Hitler said the same thing).
but why the subtlety? he already reaches alt-righters and other far-rightists with his open flirtation with 'fascist' stuff, which also has the bonus of free media attention.
so what does he gain by also using these subtle messages? does he want to tell us it's not just an act to get votes/attention?
help me /pol/
self bump

Let Trump be Nippy, now focus on keeping your nation above 95% Japanese.
Have a good day Tojo.
>>68117416
>implying raising your hand after he says "Raise your hand if you're voting Trump!" is specifically a fascist gesture
>>68117416
>fascist gesture
Literally what
>>68117416
Trump is just redpilled and is a master of plausible deniability
>>68119388
not saying it is per se, but when a room of 20,000 people does it then I think it rembles fascist gestures closely enough.
and let's dispel once and for all with this fiction that Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing.
again, not saying it's a bad thing.
I just wonder why he sometimes only uses these subtle messages which normies/the media won't notice?
He's a smarter guy than he lets on. A lot of the stuff he does is more orchestrated or planned out than people think (banning all muslims is a great example) When Carson recently endorsed him he said there are two sides to Trump.
>>68117416
The country is already run by fascists, mate.
> standing with your arms folded is a fascist gesture
do you think before you post?
I think he just realized that fascist leaders like Mussolini or Hitler were really charismatic and commanded a presence. He's just trying to emulate those kind of mannerisms and model his speeches after those leaders. I don't think he's an actual fascist.
If I said
My freind is a Jew
I like to sit by the fire
And I like tanks
I also said 3 words hit let said

yes, but not the right kind of fascists (pun intended).
>>68120246
can you explain the thing about the muslims?
>>68120468
Also, the US has been yearning for a tough leader for a long time. He wants to fill that gap that's been missing.
>crossing your arms is now fascist
Damn, that means I'm passively fascist at least fifty times a day; what kind of reparations should I pay for those woeful, poor, souls I doth verily offend?
Cause hes a fuckin' nazi
>>68120520
He stirs up controversy but he knows it's going to happen (at least some, I assume most, of the time) He's constantly making headlines and he's stirring up the majority centrist right Americans who are sick of eight years of having a racist president.
It didn't end up well for him.
>>68120425
I shouldn't respond to an Aussie, but it's not the gesture alone. it's the way he folded his arms and gazed into the crowd, saying nothing, which is exactly what Mussolini did in a famous video recording of him (like in the OP pic).
>>68120468
>>I don't think he's an actual fascist.
See, and this is where I think the whole "subtle hints" come into play.
I think he actually is kind of going fascist. and the subtle gestures are to reassure his fascist followers who may wonder if he really believes it or just does it for show.
then again, he might have predicted that some will think exactly what I just said, and with the subtle hints he tries to also fool the more intelligent fascists.
you never know with this guy.
>>68120668
Kek this
>>68120668
if you really don't see any similarities between the two scenes depicted in the OP and instead think I mean every folding of arms is a fascist gesture, I feel sorry for you.
you got so buttfucked by leftist agitation that you see anti-right motivated exaggeration everywhere.

why are you all hung up on my wording?
it should be clear from what I wrote that even if it were fascist, I wouldn't give two shits about it.
I'm not against Trump, so could you retards just for a second entertain the idea that I might have exaggerated a little to get my point across?
Jesus Christ, Americans are fucking retarded.
This thread made it clear to me.
And it also answered my question why Trump uses fascist elements to attract retards: because apparently it's a huge voter base in the US.

I have also independently come to the conclusion that Trump is literally Hitler.
>We all understand that a president has to be the leader of dumb people as well as smart people – and there are far more dumb people. So how does one kind of message get through to two totally different types of voters? Trump’s solution, so far, is to influence the dumb people via emotion while winking to the smart people so we know he is smart and not crazy. The wink is what tells you he probably isn’t Hitler. The wink says he is doing what he needs to do to get elected.
>I saw the wink sooner than most of you because I study persuasion. So none of his crazy behavior looked crazy to me. It looked skillful to the extreme. So skillful, in fact, that he got to the point where he can literally say any damned thing and his supporters don’t care how true it is. They care that he is on their side and doing whatever it takes to tear down the money-puppets in Washington.
>If you don’t see Trump’s wink, you can be forgiven for thinking he is Hitler. He probably knew the risks. Reagan had the same experience. Trump is following the Reagan game plan so he had to expect what is happening now.
>>68117416
>fascist gestures
That's basic dominant body language.
>>68125237

>>68117416
I think that he has been exposed to far-right literature in one way or another.
Earlier in the year on /pol/ people were saying that he was known to read Hitlers speeches earlier in his life. His ex-wife had supposedly said this I'm not sure if it was true.
If you guys have ever read Mein Kampf, Trumps campaign really mirrors Hitlers thoughts on propaganda. Simple, effective, and directed towards the common people.
So yes I think there is a chance he does all this intentionally, but he is not in any way a racist like Hitler.

Your problem today is letting your feelings get in the way of good honest trolling, like a fucking retarded liberal.
To raise one's hand in the vertical as a point of affirmation to a question may be a salut but it's French, not Roman/Nazi, and even then it's not a salute, so I wouldn't even allow you inroads to the debate through that sort of argument.
That being said, Trump is some sort of facist afficianado and he's clearly rusing the mainstream media machine, where it goes beyond that we can only hope and pray.
>>68126397
hey, you're right. trump and his advisors researched what made the fascists gain power and implimented their tactics into trump's campaign. But people, especially Americans, never learn from history. So theyre going to join together against the common enemy, muslims or just brown people in general, and hope they come out on top.
unfortunately no fascist governments have made it this far, but maybe trump can change that. i mean we do have the largest army in the world.
>>68117416
Yes it is probably intentional. He breathes a quasi-fascist 'strong man' air. Not the same as the original ones, but a new populist version. He phrases things vaguely and uses implicit meanings to keep plausible deniability.
Trump is bringing game (in the pickup artist sense) into politics. If you look at it this way it makes more sense.
