I've been in the thick of it for over 20 years now.
In a nutshell, everyone sticks to their own for the most part. People are cordial enough in workplaces, and there is more friendship across boundaries when there is a rare shared interest or similar educational pursuit. Otherwise, people friend and date pretty much exclusively by race.

I grew up in a city with roughly 30% or so niggers, and oh my god. They were literally the only violent people that would always slam things or beat up the other kids. When I was in London, we went to visit the neighborhood my mom grew up in. The entire area had been taken over by Kebabs, and along every block there seemed to be a pack of pregnant women in niqabs pushing strollers full of babies. I literally cannot make this shit up, it was like something out of a "racist fantasy". No, it's real. All too real. My poor Mother was visibly shaken and upset to see everything she once knew and loved replaced by Kebab shops and signs in Arabic. That stuck with me.
As for the French, well France in general is fucked.
