The closest thing I had to a religion growing up was taekwondo, and my teachers grounded the philosophy of it in buddist ways and teachings, so I figure I've already had some decent exposure there. Heck, for my black belt test I had to write essays on works by thich nhat hanh, sun tzu, yamamoto tsunetomo, etc. I think all told it came out to be around 50 pages collectively.
