Its very slimey. Me and some others are working to ferret out who the delegates are that we should vote for who are commited to Trump (and reject those who arent),
They will be on the ballot, but its not easy finding out who is who or supports what.
Many people just pick them out of a hat at the last minute on the ballot because they have no idea who is who, its just a bunch of new names. A person may be voting for someone in the primary who actually supports another candidate.
I suggest everyone take some time and look up your delegates in your US congressional district on your state voter website and learn who the delegates actually support. It can be a challenge.
Doing this sort of homework can be revealing. Earlier in the year I looked into the omnibus spending bill to see which Republicans voted for it. I dug deeper, with the intention of helping to primary them out, only to learn the party had a visible system of using legislators who were running unopposed, weren't running again or simply not running, so they could vote for whatever they wanted with electoral impunity.
People ask why such traitors aren't thrown out; it's because they cant be, at least not right away. And the timing of the spending bill seems to deliberately cut short the time anyone could mount such an opposition. Within 8 weeks of the bills being voted on, the primary registration for candidates is already over.
A crooked, crooked system. As this summer is revealing to all, the biggest opponent of actual democracy are the people in it.

Well, my point is twofold:
First off, the military is currently embroiled in this whole "gender integration" bullshit. Nobody, especially the Marines (which, good thing you're joining them, since they're the only branch with any chance of getting this dumb shit changed) actually wants that shit. The SECNAV just totally fucking ignored the USMC's request for an exemption. At an absolute minimum, the Marines are probably going to raise standards sky high to keep women out. Under Shillary, she'd probably force them to lower standards to meet gender quotas. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Trump would actually do much to change all of this either, but he's the most pro-military candidate and seems to care about what generals and military leaders actually have to say.
Secondly, regardless of who gets elected, it's not a very good idea to join during peacetime. It's boring as fuck and you get jerked around all the time

I feel like a better way to put it is that historically speaking in the U.S., especially in recent history, most politicians are corrupt sociopathic liars who only say what they're told to say to get votes, then cowtow to the establishment and fuck over the people once they're in office.
