Trump creates a win-win scenario

>Trump gets warning from SS that tomatoes might get thrown at him by protesters
>Trump tells supporters to knock out anybody they see about to throw one

Let's keep in mind that throwing things is considered assault
Let's keep in mind that the object being thrown could have easily been something a lot more dangerous, possibly explosive
Let's keep in mind that SS wouldn't be able to get there on time to stop the protester themselves

If things go as planned, and a supporter does kock a protester on his ass right before he is about to throw a tomato:

>No tomatoes would be thrown: win
>The protester is either escorted out or taken into custody: win
>Guaranteed more media coverage of Trump (bad publicity is good publicity): win
>Trump takes the bullet and the supporter doesn't have to deal with legal fees: win
>The guy who throws the punch has his fun for the day: win

what actually happened:
>the protester was a wimp and couldn't throw it far enough: win
>nobody was hurt: win
>Guaranteed more media coverage of Trump because they had footage of him "inciting violence" which they neatly edited to fit their narrative (bad publicity is still good publicity): win

I honestly don't think Trump has all of these little details planned out.

I don't even think he thought he would win. I think he's just fucking around and spewing memes, and people think it's funny

Yeah I did. It's also just a bunch of memes and 80's lingo

He does this kind of stuff a lot

Apparently you didn't pay attention where he literally described his entire campaign strategy. If the media paid any damn attention they'd already know about this. Trump's using the same fucking strategy he always does.

1. Focus on ethos. He's not too eloquent, and he's not the best pathos person ever, but he knows branding. That's why everything he does is based around establishing himself as credible. I mean he's successfully turned the media into a laughing stock by making himself look like a more reliable source of information than them, constantly.

2. Hyperbole. The media has FUNDED his campaign, because he knows how to play their game, and beat their shaming tactics. You see, the media gains ad revenue based on their ratings. Trump is good TV. Therefore they need Trump to get money. Meaning their shame strategies no longer work [where you dox someone then ignore them], because they NEED him. He's become the drug they can't quit, and he did it on purpose.

I do think he has seriously dumbed down his campaign for marketing reasons.

Has anybody seen his interviews in the 90's with c-span? He sounds like an economics professor. Trump is fucking brilliant, but in his campaign he is just the meme lord. It's really bizarre to watch side by side.

Does he discuss your second point in art of the deal? I don't remember that. That's pretty interesting and brilliant if he actually planned that out though.
>>
>>68097471
If he didn't dumb down it, he'd end up like sleepy Ben

Parts of it yeah. He probably didn't predict the Politically Correct Inquisition that would arise in the 2000s, but it probably didn't matter to him. He'd been playing the media for years.

Different game, same rules.

I think a bit of it is his age. I think a bit of it is habit, but yes.

I don't think he's dumbed down from his age. He's only 70
>>

I live with 70 year olds. They definitely start to think differently when they get older. They start losing some sharpness about them.

Trump has kept pretty healthy and active though. His mind is sharp and he acts as if he is 50.
