At the risk of this being a bait thread:
i'm 35 so if it helps great, if not then no big deal.
1. Always save a part of your paycheck no matter how difficult this might seem. This is laid out in "The Richest Man in Babylon" as achievable, because it is. You'll learn more about personal finance from this small book than you realise.
2. Education is a literal investment. You need to look at the return vs the cost and that is the sole arbiter of what you should study. Gender studies will cost you $XYZ and earn you nothing, therefore it's a liability to the value of $XYZ. If you want to study something out of passion, do this in your spare time either by correspondence ($$$) or with your library card.
3. Related to (2), The saying that "If you find a job that you love you'll never work a day in your life" is complete bullshit. Work isn't supposed to be fun, if it was it wouldn't be called "work" it'd be called "fun", but it isn't, and there's a reason for that. The best thing to do is find a job that pays the most amount of money relative to the amount of bullshit you're willing to handle. This is different for each individual. Regardless, if you're earning good money then you'll be able to afford to do the things outside of work that truly mean something to you.
4. Understand that most people do things to gain social proof or access to pussy. How many guys do you know who want to work a cool job so they can casually drop it into conversation? I know plenty, they all earn fuck all now and are going nowhere career wise because they've got younger, smarter, fitter people nipping at their geriatric heels. Get into something that is likely to survive long term market and economy ups and downs.
5. The trades are seriously underrated. Don't believe me then you will when you have to get an upstairs toilet fixed at 3am because it won't flush, is backed up, and is now running down the stairs.

9. It gets harder to make friends and meet people as you get older. Make sure you maintain your relationships with your family and friends so long as they respect and treat you well back. Learn to be happy with your own company because someday it may be all you have.
10. Make peace with your death. It's going to happen so the sooner you can appreciate that fact the sooner you'll start appreciating the life you have and the possibilities it offers. Death is no big deal, you didn't exist in the year 1800 so why is it a problem to not exist in the year 2800?
