I qualify as a denier by saying this (the "Holocaust" basically did happen), but it was ~3 million Jews and about 2.5 assorted in the camps, mostly from starvation or exposure, and the 6 gorillion is counting the Jewish members of the Soviet Union's army, "victims" of the Commisary Diktat and civilian casualties.
The trick is those other numbers weren't released until much after the 6 million figure was well publicised, so they were lies that turned out to be true.
