Yeah exactly. One of the things about Yellowstone is that it's so fucking big it literally has every avenue to disperse pressure at it's disposal. Yellow stone is too fucking wide to build up enough pressure to explode. The "eruption" you all are waiting for is going to just translate to magma seeping through the ground. You'll have a few pockets here and there of high pressured dispersal, but you'd have to be a brain dead gobble thruster to actually believe the whole place is going to go up in flames at once and take half the planet with it.

In the worst-case scenario, the ash cloud would only cause problems in a 3-4 state distance eastward, depending on wind vectors. The idea that Yellowstone would pose a significant threat to humanity is folly, but it could substantially disrupt farms in Nebraska, Iowa, etc.

You dont even need a felsic eruption. If you have for example 10 big volcanoes going off at the same time and continuously spewing ash and smoke, then the global temperature will drop for a decade. Not to mention crops and plants dying, due to lack of sunlight.
Now add a higher than Krakatoa level explosion/eruption and you got yourself a trigger for earthquakes, tsunamis and even more eruptions.
