Because they lost their way
Christianity and hippie philosophy made Rome soft and their enemies took advantage of it.
Roman polytheism should have never died off.
Commodus was also a sort of the turning point, he should have never been made princeps.

I always wonder what it would've been like to be born just a couple hundred years after the fall, to live in and around ruins from a civilization you'd only heard about from your elders, who themselves only barely remember their parents telling them what it was like to live in Rome.
I always get a profound sense of loss when I see ruins, and it can be hard to look past the rubble and see the living city it used to be.

First off, WAS is the keyword, which means eventually it tanked and so therefore WAS NOT. In addition:
Rome is no longer around.
Romans used lead drinking vessels.
High rate of STI's
Romans had a cultural practice of eating till they barfed, then they would eat more.
Rome put all knowledge into one place, which burned.

Rome was full of lead poisoned, barfing pseudo intellectualism. Rome has fallen, Rome sucked.

PROTIP: ROME IS DEAD, you will be too one day.

Grazing farmer's herds or whatever in the shadow of the aqueducts must've been a strange feeling for those who had no idea what they were or where they came from. It doesn't help that all that Roman stuff turns white when there aren't romans around to paint it, making everything look skeletal.

Rome was founded in 753BC
The Western part of the empire fell in 476
The Eastern part of the empire fell in 1453

So the true romans -as i consider only the WRE as true romans- existed for 1229 years...
If you consider the eastern part as roman too, it 's 2206 years

this makes them one of the longest existing nations ever

more so when you consider that the stuff would still burn on the surface of water, and pouring water on the fire only made it spread, you could only put it out by suffocation

After the Arab invasions especially,
Byzantium goes through some important internal changes which really begin to divide it from the old WRE in political style and social norms

Romans destroyed the Celts, the last good inhabitants on the European mainland continent. The last good culture.

After that, autistic Germanic invaders came and built all the cuck nations that ruin Europe today with rapefugees. Germany, Austria, Belgium, England, Denmark, Sweden, Eastern France, all have roots in Germanic proto-cuck culture.

Fuck Romans
Fuck Germanics

The Empire was a mistake honestly
Caesar would have made Roma great again but a bunch of rich chucklefucks killed him, then Octavian filled the power vacuum and well the rest is history.
Its interesting to think what the world would be like had Caesar passed his reforms and stood down. Whether or not the rejuvenated republic could have survived as long or not I always wonder.

Caesar was never stepping down. The entire Roman culture is poisonous, just an ambitious twist on Greek culture. It "started" with Tiberius Gracchus, but Rome was always going to implode when you have such a poisonous culture

Romans were never good at anything besides fucking each other over and bureaucracy. They weren't natural inventors, philosophers, anything. They were bloodthirsty accountants.

Rome failed to conquer people without swords but simply beliefs in a Kingdom in Heaven.

Oh yeah, I remember the story behind this one. There was this woman in ancient Greece being charged with blasphemy, for which the sentence was death. So, she stripped off all her clothes to show off her beauty so as to say "How could I have committed blasphemy when the gods saw fit to bless me with this body? And you would have it destroyed?" and it worked. The charge was dropped.
>>
>>68010021
I didn't say it happened, it didn't happen. Maybe once or twice but like I said, that sort of thing was looked down upon. Your entire opinion is based on the fact that you think Gladiators were shitty slaves. Gladiators were professionals, like football players. Or more accurately like race horses. They were trained, massaged, bathed, fucked tons of women; overall had great lives. Until they were mauled by a tiger of course.

I feel this way about Egypt, it's my favorite ancient civilization.
I feel like if magic was ever real, it was in Egypt.

Worst part is, is that none of these civilizations had any means of visual recording (like pictures or videos, not paintings or reliefs), we'll never get to see or even hear exactly what it was like.

Like if the modern world falls, there would be tapes, CDs and computer data that you could possibly one day recover again if you figure out how, but there's nothing like that for the ancients.

It could just be fanciful tinfoilery, but have you heard Graham Hancock's ideas about the initial rise of civilization occurring much earlier than is believed, on the order of 15,000+ years back? He proposes that most evidence of civilization that far back has been destroyed by time and human activity, or in a few cases are attributed to later cultures as you can't really date stone.
I think some of his stuff is a bit out there, but it's interesting to think about what evidence would be left of even advanced cities like ours after an ice-age was through scouring half the continent with glacial ice.

>Romans were never good at anything besides fucking each other over and bureaucracy. They weren't natural inventors, philosophers, anything. They were bloodthirsty accountants.
Eh, I dunno. Definitely not inventors, but at least some tried a hand at philosophy, even if along very Greek lines (like the Stoic / Epicurean / Academic divide). Lucretius' didactic poem De Rerum Natura is one of our main sources of Epicureanism...

Romans were also lawyers. In fact, I once saw a scholar make the comment (jokingly) that Romans spent so much creative energy in rhetoric that they hardly had energy to invent things in anything else... This scholar pointed out how Roman rhetoric treatises manuals like Cicero's De Oratore and De Inventione, Quintilian's Institutio Oratoria and the anonymous Rhetorica ad Herennium are still used today by people getting (deep) into oratory.

It is masculine to force a dude to suck your dick or to rape his ass, while being the receiver is feminine and pathetic as fuck.
The thing they found most despicable on the other hand were men who would eat women's pussies.
>>

Isn't like the same for Muslim men though? I heard it's all the rage in Afghanistan. They justify it by saying "he is one of those types of boys"... and my wife wasn't around. So it's a sexual emergency.
>>
I also find it incredible how Christian monks actually let pass down some very non-Christian texts down the ages. Ever heard of the Priapeia poems, poems spoken by or to Priapus? Here's a typical one:

Obliquis quid me, pathicae, spectatis ocellis?
non stat in inguinibus mentula tenta meis.
quae tamen exanimis nunc est et inutile lignum,
utilis haec, aram si dederitis, erit.
(Priapeia 75)

The truth was that Rome was a multi-ethnic Empire. Any true scholar with the slightest mastery of classics will attest to this. Any one who has had to write a thesis on Rome in at the Doctoral level would not contest this truth.

Rome as well as the entire southern and central and western Europe was built by aboriginal black Europeans sometimes called the mysterious Celts, NIGRI-LATINIS, the IBERIANS or the Maurs.

One of the theories anyway, seems like a likely contender to me considering the odd scale between the head and paws. Egyptian archeology is kinda fucked right now too, they're literally covering the Sphinx up as a 'restoration' project, hiding the water damage on the sides. They were anyway, I don't know if work has started up again since the Arab Spring shit went down over there.
Hancock's ideas about it are worth looking into, even if some of his other stuff is sorta off the wall. He proposes that the Sphinx predates the oldest Egyptian cultures by thousands of years, and has ideas about why it's a lion based on ancient zodiac notions as it would have been built in the 'age of leo', some 11,000 years ago. I don't know shit about the zodiac, so it might just be timecube-level nonsense, but it's at least interesting as a thought experiment to consider.
