I worded my statement wrong. A lot of metal isn't degenerate and it takes talented musicians to write a lot of metal and I do like quite a decent amount of bands. However, metal as a genre seems to cause superiority complexes and anti-social behaviour in individuals who listen to it. This is why I don't like metalheads as they don't respect other genres of music and they think that only metal is true music.
