Really, we should change the entire education system. Allow kids to stay at home easier, keep most schools flexible, and introduce an easier version of getting your high school certificate, along the lines of a GED in the US.

When I was a kid, if you shut up and studied and got good grades, you'd have an excellent chance in life.

My school was nice and small and rather polite, then we doubled in size overnight and you could say the newer students didn't assimilate, now we're turning bad and it makes me so fucking sad and angry because the school used to be a nice little refuge from all the shit schools surrounding us.
An example: last year we got a girl from probably the biggest school in the area who was being routinely called a slut by her entire class and her teacher did fucking nothing. It was a nice place for people like her to go, but now even we're turning to shit.
