he certainly lacks the kind of gung ho patriotism that has defined most presidents, and therefore the office of the president, for the past few administrations. Reagan was all about the patriotism, Bush 1 wasnt as strong on it as Reagan but he had a forceful strong image, and the record to back it up. (WW2, CIA, etc) then Bill and George Jr were super Patriots. Bill drank fucking diet coke from a can while testifying during his impeachment and George 2 was a cowboy. Obama has none of that. he had that sort of "hip young black guy" charm, and was a good orator, which are the qualities that got him elected. (aside from being Black) but nowadays those parts of his charm have largely faded, leaving a very dry sort of almost antisocial figure bereft of any kind of nationalistic tendencies other than token "greatest country in the world" comments. He's become a European style leader.
