1-Eastern provinces in Turkeye are negative to the budget. In other words they get more money-investment from state than they give in throught tax. Many investments occur due to prevent people from joining kurdish rebellion anyways.
Giving them independence would mean no more sweet tax bux from istanbul-ankara-izmir, they would have to tend to their own
2-Independent Kurdistan would bring up the question of "Okay you have those provinces, you have your own country, you have your own land. Why the fuck are you staying in Western Turkey? fuck off back to your home".
Many kurds live-work-study in western parts. The climate is better, the people are less conservative and less religious. They can also fuck blue collar tourists (or could since tourism got screwed by erdogan). Also many high level kurds, both from within and without PKK have a lot of investments in those provinces. A lot of drug money is laundered through resorts etc.
What kurds want is autonomy. "We want to rule ourselves but we still want to go to west, live and study at west, we still want western tax money to flow to east" in other worst representation without taxation, in other words to have your cake and eat it too.
At least this is the official ideology of PKK. I totally repsect the Kurds who want absolute independence more power to them. The sooner we seperate ourselves the better. They'll get their own country and I'll live in my homogenous city, not bothered by Kurdish mafia, or kurdish youth, lower tax is always a bonus.

Well most investment obviously are in Istanbul, Ankara and west-south Turkey because of tourism. Since most Turks don't care about Kurds they prefer to use most money on their cities.
It's the same as Ukraine did with Crimea they never spend stuff on Crimea look at how much it changed after the Russians took it over.
Independent Kurdistan could get help from other nations so it wouldn't matter if they can just stabilize the region

Can't say anything besides the Kurds need to fix this themself. if they are nationalists they just have to invest in their education so there won't be a brain drain. Also Islam throughout Turkey except in tourist resorts is still too extreme.
