They fascinate me but I have no idea how to infiltrate them even on the internet.
I suspect that as they predate social media the organization would not be able to withstand internet scrutiny. With no way to intimidate people outing them online the group would implode as senior leadership was outed or implicated in crimes. I imagine in the past they have prevented mass outings via members that have influence with the media and local government or just outright thuggery.
But being outed by some website in america, they are powerless. The ones with decent jobs or government connections would panic and try to deflect blame onto other members or break contact, internal conflict would be inevitable.

How do the cells communicate though? Because they predate social media they must have had something else in place.
They may have moved from telephones to FB but the structure likely remains as it was before.
