I think so, but people are just sort of waiting for something to happen. In the US, people know they're getting screwed by outsourcing and, although some try to deny it, immigration. Combine this with fruitless ongoing conflicts in the Middle East the average citizen couldn't care less about and the result is an increasingly national focus for most people.
I do know that over in yurop most people are less in favor of the current state of the EU and national interests have been clashing since the global financial crisis
