I came late to the party. Didn't wind up actually playing the game much until Citadel came out, despite the fact that I'd sunk hundreds of hours into the first two games. Later on, I wound up getting it on PC--I had a new job and money to burn, so I bought the entire trilogy on PC. All the DLC, too, and I played through them all. The Extended Cut was out, too--I had heard about the fiasco with the ending, about how bad it was, and every mission I beat just made me feel a little more sick.
There was always this feeling of impending doom hanging over everything--I knew what was coming. When Citadel was over, I actually started tearing up. I loved the games, I loved the characters, and to know that it was going to end so badly really fucked with me, because it could have been so good. So fucking good.
