The rounds they sell in the shop arent highly technical, when you handload em then it gets technical as you handpick maybe 30 out of 100 spent cases(after shooting them once, after that youl keep re-using the same cases and measure them after each shot)
The ammo you get from the store works fine, but they cant get into the accuracy level of your handloads.
.308 is shit at sniping, face it.
Honestly, would prefer a .338 lapua magnum for the job but i dont have one that is capable of shooting beyond 500 meters, just one for hunting.
+ practice shooting with it is more expensive than .284.
Youd get the ammo straight from the military without having to do any arrangements in a real situation, but the standard issue ammo for .338 lapua isnt as accurate as any handload youd make yourself.
