Lets practice well thought out arguments (with sourced information) to combat anti-Trump rhetoric. I'll start.

>Trump wants to deport all illegal immigrants, but many of our ancestors were illegal immigrants. Not just the pilgrims, but those from the old world that foraged a new life in the early America. Some of them even raised children who served in the military while their parents were placed under suspicion during wartime.

>but many of our ancestors were illegal immigrants. Not just the pilgrims, but those from the old world
I wasn't aware that Ellis Island was considered illegal immigration...
>>
Just call them cucks like who the fuck cares
MAGA
>>
Pilgrims were illegal immigrants that arrived and brought disease and murder until they destroyed the native's way of life. Let's not repeat history.
>>

This is a troll post because it can't be done.

Second one is newer, but first one is best. This libertarian cuck covers Trump's policies and all the attacks against him like a boss.

Yeah but the Indians weren't trump enough to deport the immigrants were they? In fact they got rekt. It's a battle my friend. You gotta be Trump enough to make it to the top. Doggy dogs mane

>>67778658

I'll start with your 'democratic socialism' argument that you compare to Norway and that works 'exceptionally well'.

Norway's government owns some of the largest oil and aluminum companies which provide high streams of revenue for all their fucking benefits. Combining fossil fuels and aluminum production owned by the government, it equates to roughly 60% of net exports.

This is pure communist bull shit having the state own and run for-profit businesses. Good luck pulling this shit in America minus Amtrak (LOL) and the Postal Service (LOL).
>>
>but many of our ancestors were illegal immigrants, not just the pilgrims

I wasn't aware the Indians had immigration laws

This.

The Indians should have built a wall along the coasts. Why were they so stupid?
>>
>>67778658
>the pilgrims and founding fathers were illegal immigrants
wew lad
the natives didn't even have borders or laws, they were busy killing each other

Second post best post
>>
>>67778658

I need a sauce on the Pilgrims being illegal immigrants, and those from the "old world" being illegal as well. Because my off-the-boat Revolutionary War ancestors weren't breaking any immigration laws.

Genuinely curious. I'll monitor the thread since I'm at work.

Native Americans didn't build a wall or deport illegal immigrants/unvetted non-assimilating refugees.

Ask them how that worked out for them.
>>
>>67779191
And look where it got them. I don't see many Indians around anymore, do you?
>>
>>67778658
1) my ancestors came on the Mayflower, we predate the US as a country so we can't be considered illegals
2) most immigration was strictly controlled through places like Ellis Island, we controlled how many people came and from where
3) the Indians were too weak and stupid to protect themselves and their culture and now they're reduced to living like niggers on reservations. That's not what I want for my children, so I'm going to fight for us

You Trumpcucks have got donalds dick so far down your ideological gullet that I'm starting to think threads like this are false flags used by berniebros to discredit Trump supporters as cucks.

I can't believe anyone is this much of a cargo-cult-cuck autist to make a thread like this in earnest. This goes beyond and below the levels of insipid mewling circlejerking behavior of even /r9k/ and reddit. Go back to r*ddit, or whatever, you retard.

This. Our government is highly incompetent and corrupt. If America had any national industries, they'd run out of funding cause for some reason the director will order 10 tons of toilet paper. Turns out his childhood friend owns a toilet paper factory
>>
>>67779183
>democratic socialism
>state takes over the private sector
Nice try, but the whole point of democratic socialism is to strengthen a capitalist economy by providing more individual wealth for the consumer class who will in turn spend it in this country. Ultimately more of our tax money spent under this sytem comes back to us in the form of social benefits, instead of going to corporate subsidies and military spending. As education increases and money is distributed throughout the country through spending rather than giving a large percentage to CEOs who will horde their money in tax havens, the economy booms and the poverty and crime rate decreases.

People who tell you this system doesn't work all over the world are the real cucks.

The same ancestors that mass-murdered indians?
>>
>>67779146
Watching the first video. The bit about Mexican immigrants being rapists, Stefan claims that Trump was only talking about illegal immigrants and not immigrants as a whole, therefore all the media outlets are lying or misquoting. But in the quote he provides, no distinction of illegal immigrants is given. Trump only says "When Mexico sends it's people..."
>>
OK, good replies. Now for the next anti trump rhetoric to argue against

Many of them are likely fucking white males. That displaced anger is coming from somewhere, perhaps the frustration that staying in the closet is the only way to avoid the wrath of patriot daddy.
>>
>Many of our ancestors were illegal immigrants
>The same illegal immigrants who then integrated into a country and supported the legislation and policies regarding legalized immigration
>>
>>67780891
But the entire context was illegal immigration anon.
>>
What about trump being pro-spying?
>>
>>67780311

Show me where it does work? Again, please find a country that has an entire population more of 1 area of Los Angeles.

You're trying to provide benefits to 300m+ people. It's going to fucking break. I never said the state 'is going to take over' the private sector. My point was, that Norway owns Statoil and other organizations that fuel their benefits... for 5 million people. Taxation alone will not provide enough money for the shit Sanders wants, and, in turn, will not provide enough wealth. Giving everyone free education and healthcare does not increase jobs in any way, shape or form. The market creates these jobs. That's wonderful that everyone can have an education, but how many more people will be employed when there's thousands of educated individuals competing for jobs?

There's no excuse for a citizen unable to afford $1,000/semester at a community college (not including financial aid). That's fucking pennies.

Literally Jerry Falwell, Alex Jones, and Glenn Beck with a hint of reverse Michael Moore style nuanced lying all thrown together in the form of one punchably douchey moron.

Was it? How did he establish that context? Because I just hear him talking about the types of people other countries are sending, and every follow up interview I've seen just has him repeating the same thing with no obvious context of specifically illegal immigration.
>>
>>67782542
You're ignoring all the keystone factors that give us a much higher advantage in implementing a successful socialist system than any other country in the world.

First of all our GDP is the highest in the world almost doubling china in second, and quadrupling Japan in third. We have more wealth than any other country and more wasted spending than any other country.

Our military spending is $600 billion per year, while sanders proposal for tuition free college is $70 billion. Factor in tax breaks for the 20 people who horde half of the countries wealth, and you're talking damn near $1 trillion wasted every year.

So,what is the reason we have all this public money to waste every year? Because we all pay taxes and there are over 320 million of us. Our large population is what gives us the large amount of wealth.

Argue all you want for the richest few to take our money. You think taxes will one day be lowered or eliminated if the government does away with spending, but due to how much money those in power make from those taxes, you can dream on.

The free market creates jobs abroad and depletes jobs in this country. If you haven't realized this yet then you're to paying attention. If you want more jobs then wealth must be distributed by giving people more money to spend on goods. This decreases the international competitive market, decentivises outsourcing and provides a more balanced and competitive domestic market which is good for everyone.
>>
>>67784979
We pay that much so we don't die

Do you really value some monkeynigger's genderblacksocialogy class over your survival
>>
>>67784979

Interesting. So, if the jobs come and go (and are also outsourced), do you think the unemployment rate will be affected due to everyone having a college degree? Fuck no. Again, more jobs have to be created that need more educated people. There's already thousands of employees competing for the same job today.

Sure, the US is top 5 per capita spend for the military budget. However, 30-40% of that goes to R&D and new projects for modern technology. I'm sure as shit you'd expect the United States to have up to date warfare and technology. Not to mention, how many jobs in the private sector this spending employs in the first place.

We can argue trickle up/down all day. My opinion is this: I give $100 to a poor person. Where do they spend it? Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, etc. Imported goods from China and India that royally buttfuck our economy in the long-run. You complain about the top .1% in the country owning all this wealth. Do you think they sit there and fucking stare at it? No - they invest in new technology, organizations, and re-invest into existing businesses. Thus, this creates more capital for the companies to grow, innovate and hire educated employees. Versus those spending their money at fucking McDonald's and imported Chinese goods.. which ultimately benefit the CEO's of these organizations.. right?

If you want you call bull shit on the 're-investment' stage of the rich, just use Peter Thiel as the example. Beyond Facebook, he's grown Spotify, Airbnb, SpaceX, Palantir (which the government used to find Suddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden), Stemcentrx for genomic deficiencies and more. That's thousands of jobs from 1 person.
>>
>>67785281
In other words, you honestly believe that if we made college tuition free, and our defense budget was $530 billion instead of $600 then Isis kills us all?

You do realize that we have a jet that cost us $1.5 trillion and its never been used? Even if it were, that single jet would have to take out Isis singlehandedly to make that even close to worth the money.

The military industry is based around lining people's pockets with taxpayer money first, and national defense second. Cutting the budget in half would still be damn generous.

nice to see some reasonably civil discussion on /pol/, good read regardless of which side you fall on, cheers fellas

though i will say that >>67785847, >>67782542 seems overly focused on poorly backed up arguments like "this country's too big, it will never work" without addressing the massive advantage US has in wealth
>>
>>67786495

That's a fair assessment. I think I'm basing my argument off of 'too big' because the examples given in most conversations is to that of smaller countries. The US has to be unique in their own way going about a new system of providing social benefits. Trust me, I completely agree with the Japanese healthcare system. But how would that scale? Wealth isn't necessarily the answer. Sure, it provides the initial capital for the program to begin, but there has to be process(es) and action in place that's executed well and not exploited. That.. that's where it is tough.
>>
Yes. Vote for Trump. Now that Bernie's campaign is over. I just want to see Trump shit up murikkka and turn it into an even bigger joke.

9/11 the sequel will be sweet
>>
>>67785847
So you're convinced that investments made in this country don't always come down to increasing profits and using those profits for individual people to get richer, the american people and job creation be damned, fine.

You're just proving my point that our economy is rigged by the rich and powerful. Of course wal-mart and Chinese goods are where the welfare money ultimately goes, so your solution is to blame the money itself and not the people who exploited the money to take from all taxpayers and give it to themselves when they own nearly half the country's wealth already?

Nobody is arguing that a socialized economy would work under the current circumstances. First we would need trade policy reform, as well as welfare reform and anything else that gives the "job creators" a reason to legally make more money instead of investing and actually creating jobs n this country.
>>
>>67787302

Last thing I'll say here
.
Those who obtain ridiculous sums of money by 'exploiting' the dollar tend to re-invest back into the market at scale. Also - a lot of C-levels take a $1 salary with majority having an average income of $500k (that's looking at larger companies and not including cash bonuses). Most high ranking executes have their incentives come from ownership of the company. Fuck them for owning a percentage of the company, scaling it worldwide, and providing thousands of jobs, right? Then fuck them for selling a percentage of their stake and reinvesting into 5 other companies, right? If the company shits the bed, so do they. They make out with absolutely nothing. However, established companies (like HP, Oracle, etc) do teeter on the unethical side with their incentives. I'll agree there.
