Hillary is going to get btfo so bad. They both know eachother pretty well. The only difference is that Trump is a pretty square dude while Hillary is an absolute degenerate. If it comes down to a shit flinging contest, I'd put money on Trump having the most ammunition.
>>
I'm not going to say that a Trump victory is certain so as to not end up on one of those "/pol/ BTFO" screenshots compiling posts like that, like people did with Romney in 2012, but dream case scenario includes Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Iowa red, and possibly even New York. Also I think Colorado's going to be blue no matter what.
>>
>>67763472
This is simply pricing in a split republican party, with either TRUMP or an establishment candidate breaking off and running as a third party candidate.

>>67763933
New voters have propelled TRUMP to the nomination and will take him to the WHITE House, making America great again.
>>
>>67763933
Republican candidates and party leaders have touted high voter turnout in the GOP primary as a good sign for the general election, but conservative New York Times columnist David Brooks isn’t so sure.

"There’s no correlation between primary turnout and wins in the fall in the last 11 elections," Brooks said on Meet the Press on March 6.

Is Brooks right that the GOP’s numbers, which surpass Democratic turnout, mean little for the general election?

We didn’t hear back from Brooks, but the data shows and experts agree that more votes in the nominating contests aren’t necessarily harbingers of November victories.

>>
>>67763933
In 1984, for example, the Democratic primary turned out about three times more voters than the Republican primary. Nonetheless, President Ronald Reagan won re-election with almost 60 percent of the popular vote.
>>

Also, why are people making such normal maps? This is a realigning election, the current trends will be broken. Hillary will probably take Texas and some plains states while Trump will flip blue states.

In the six elections where there were contests on both sides, the party with the higher primary voter turnout won the popular vote just three times. In 1976, 1992 and 2008, Democratic primary turnout surpassed that of the GOP nominating race, and the Democratic candidates won the general election.
>>
>>67765156
Are you seriously saying that Texas is going to go blue in the general election just because they voted Cruz in the primaries?
>>

>>
>>67765076
Population of NY is 19.5million
Population of NYC is 8.5million
General election turnout is 6.5million
4m Democrat
2.5m Republican
It is popular to hear Republicans say "NY is always Blue because of NYC so I don't bother voting"
Trump just needs to campaign and he can easily win, he can even break even in the City because that is his home turf. Noone even likes Hillary in NY even though she was our Senator, the City elected her. I have union member family that worked with Trump in the city and they say that he would buy them coffee and stuff when they worked on his jobs. He has alot of sway here.
>>
im just glad i will see hillary clinton in the white house
>>
>>67763933

Higher than normal turnout in the primary is a sign of division, you mong.

The democratic nominee is Hilary. It was from the beginning. Bernie did surprisingly well but Hillary has been coasting to victory this whole time.

The Republican field is an absolute clusterfuck, hence more people voting for more candidates which will lead to more people NOT voting in the general for the guy they didn't like in the primary.

He's actually beating Hillary by a lot in Colorado, 8-11 points I think. I wouldn't consider GE polls to be reliable by a long shot but it's enough to leave CO gray. On the downside VA is gray/blue, not a guaranteed state for Trump.

>>67762943

Most people who are Democrats are against war crimes and mass murder of innocent people.

Most people who are Democrats are uneducated and uninformed about what Hillary Clinton did when she was Secretary of State.

When Trump starts talking more about her destruction and pillage of Libya and her support of Al Qaeda terrorists in Syria, a lot of left-wing people will switch over to Trump, especially because he is very vocal against US aggression against Libya and Syria.

He's already accused her of killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people (100% truth). I can guarantee you after the first debate when Libya and Syria come up Clinton's poll numbers will tank by double digits.
>>
>>67762943
Op it's a mistake to look on the 2016 elections along the party lines assuming it will be Hillary vs Trump. A lot of Democrats will probably go across party lines and vote Trump because ultimately he is not a real Republican.

Same goes for the Republicans, a good number of them might end up voting for Clinton because at this point the difference between a establishment Democrat and a moderate Republican is virtually non existent.

Still I would not be surprise if the general elections turn into a three way or even four way contest.

On second thought, I'm not sure that the House would have the guts to appoint someone who wasn't nominated to run by his party. I'm also not sure that either Rubio or Bush would have the guts to accept the position if they weren't actively in contention for it.

If the GOP were to run an independent candidate who was an establishment Republican, then it might be him. Otherwise they would be choosing between Hillary or Trump, I imagine.

It could be that the Republican House of Representatives might actually appoint a Democrat if their only other choice was Trump..

>>
Nevermind, apparently the constitution specifically limits the House to choose between candidates who won electoral votes.

So, if the GOP establishment chose not to run an independent candidate (or if their independent candidate did not get any electoral votes,) then the House would only get to choose between Trump and Hillary.

This poses an interesting question. Would the GOP House of Representatives actually go through with it and make Trump president?
>>
>>67776189
Anon, that kind of crap might work in the GOP primary, but a general electorate would not be impressed with Trumps bluster and bravado. They would want substantive policy discussion, and Trump would not be able to give it to them.

At my Caucas there was a larger number of first timers than there were anything else.

i'm on the fence as to how "smart" trump is. his speeches make bush jr. look like a prodigy. on the other hand, he is certainly playing trumplets for total fools. here are some ad verbatim quotes right out of the don's mouth himself (video source at the bottom):

>Everyone's gotta be covered. This is an unrepublican thing to say....I am going to take care of everybody...the government's gonna pay for it

>In many cases, I probably identify more as a democrat

>I hate the concept of guns, I'm not in favor of it

>I'm very pro choice

he's been bailed out by taxpayers in the 90s. he also regularly lies about his actual assets (why else do you think he isnt releasing his taxes for the public to see?)

and of course he inherited his family's fortune AND his daddy's position as president of a several hundred million dollar real estate firm.

there's nothing wrong with inheritance, but there are few things more pathetic than pretending you are a "self-made man" when you always had hundreds of millions of dollars in family money to fall back on if you took a shitty risk (of which he took many and proceeded to screw his business partners over during bankruptcy 4-5+ times).

Those aren't delegates. They are electoral votes. Delegates are for primaries.

And, the truth is, California has LESS electoral votes than it should have based on population. The electoral college gives an advantage to less populous states in terms of electoral votes.

Simply put, California has a fuckton of people, and the interior of the country has fucking nobody.
