What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

There were lighter-than-air craft, like hot air balloons and airships, and there's an arguable thing about a steam powered plane a decade or so before the Wright bros, but the Wright's design was the first powered heavier-than-air craft with steering. Plus the design led to all modern aircraft.

I am an uber free market libertarian, and while precious metal work and mining was driven by ancient capitalism, and while I dont doubt that increasing the strength of metal was important fir agriculture, metalurgy was ubdoubtedly benifted by war as a patron.

Nobody can argue that modern genetic engineering and its products, such as insulin production, were made without capitalism though.

Linux and mac os are both Unix derived operating systems. Unix is heavily derived from Multics, it's name is fucking pun shit that developers worked earlier on. Multics started as...

>Project MAC
>On July 1, 1963, Project MAC (the Project on Mathematics and Computation, later backronymed to Multiple Access Computer, Machine Aided Cognitions, or Man and Computer) was launched with a $2 million grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Project MAC's original director was Robert Fano of MIT's Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE). Fano decided to call MAC a "project" rather than a "laboratory" for reasons of internal MIT politics—if MAC had been called a laboratory, then it would have been more difficult to raid other MIT departments for research staff. The program manager responsible for the DARPA grant was J.C.R. Licklider, who had previously been at MIT conducting research in RLE, and would later succeed Fano as director of Project MAC.

the first arrows were made with stone, as were many farming implements.

Seriously, you go far enough back and you don't need government to discover some of the most important technologies that everything else was built upon. Fire is putting a stick into a bush or tree lit by lightning. an arrow is a sharp rock attached to a stick flung by pulluingback on the dried entrails of an animal attached to another stick. agriculture is putting a seed in the ground and just making sure it grows and then harvesting it. All things that could be discovered individually without the need for complex government of the kind the OP is describing, all major human achievements.

>>67762378
it only grew to feed large communities once they got past hunter/gatherer

You seemed to imply that agriculture happened because societies moved past hunter/gatherer. Also, you're implying that agriculture was a singular innovation and nothing done within agriculture counts as innovation and none of those non-innovations had anything to do with war.
>>
>>67763111

I was thinking more along the lines of USA vs USSR and how it acts as stimulus to do things. Free market mechanic at work albeit in a meta way.
I'm not the >full anarchy fag, but to claim capitalism and free market is useless and overshadowed by the benefits planned economy is pure undiluted stupidity.
>>
>>67763459
Gliding =/= powered flight. This is a 100% factual and serious statement.
>>
>>67763503
Yeah, I got that just after I hit 'post'. Good point.
>>
>>67763484
it did happen because small societies moved past hunter/gatherer. There were more specialists and, therefore, less people able to go ut and get food. It was discovered, likely by medicine men, that plants could be cultivated. That was scaled up and hunter/gatherer cultures settled down in one place to grow things and also tamed food animals around the same time. It was likely a period of hundreds to thousands of years.

>Also, you're implying that agriculture was a singular innovation and nothing done within agriculture counts as innovation and none of those non-innovations had anything to do with war.
I'm talking about the very beginning of agriculture, which, yes, likely had nothing to do with war. Implements were made with bone, wood, and rock. bronze and iron would not be discovered for thousands of years.
