First, I'm gonna address why people dislike Trump. Then I'll address why people like him, and why he's been the victim of the largest propaganda campaign since the invasion of Iraq.

Why he's disliked.
1. Racism - Trump doesn't support illegal immigrants or illegal immigration, and would deport illegals living in the country. While it does suck for the immigrants, it needs to be done. The massive amount of illegal workers creates a permanent non-English speaking underclass of people who live far below the normal standard of living, and they are subsidized by taxes. This is an indirect way of subsidizing corporations. This plays well to corporate interests, because it gives them a massive domestic source of cheap labor. This is why nothing has been done to fix it so far. It's spun to be humane to keep them here under the guise of how bad life is in Mexico. Life in Mexico is almost only bad because of the drug trade at the border. Strengthening the border is an important step in improving the lives of people on both sides, and makes the war on drugs much easier to wage. So really, ending the massive immigration wave and securing our Southern border with Mexico is positive for everyone involved, with the exception of the illegal immigrants who currently reside in the country. Their country would see massive improvement, however, when the border is safe, and the path to legal immigration is still open to them.
2. Personality - Trump is an asshole. He makes no pretense of not being an asshole, and some people don't respond very well to that. This is really personal preference, but it seems that liberals in particular need a more "cuddly" president. Why this is? They probably fear that a Trump Presidency would only serve to undercut our foreign relations. They're right. We would be ending the multi-billion dollar stream of aid to countries, and we'd be using the military to shut down operations like Iran's nuclear program as opposed to offering bribes.
>>
>>67728809
why do people make images that are completely opposite of the actual facts?
>>
>>67729626
And Bernie have good idea of Foreign Policy? Kek
>>
>>67728809
>>67729806
Why he's liked.
1. Economy - His policies focus on domestic industrial development. Why this is good? Well, jobs are typically high-wage, often historically unionized as well. This is also good for national security. Suppose we became entangled in Syria with the Russians, and we couldn't get Chinese steel to build our aircraft carriers. Then our ability to wage war is severely hampered by the lack of industry.
2. Taxes - Overhauling the US tax scheme and closing loopholes in the system is as prominent on the Trump agenda as the Wall. He and his accountants are very familiar with the loopholes that can be taken advantage of, I'll guarantee you that. Who better to close them than someone that knows them inside and out? With that revenue that's been funneled out of the tax income, we can afford to lower the effective tax burden on everyone while maintaining the size of our government and military.
3. "Make America Great Again" - People are responding to this phrase because it resonates so soundly. The USA used to lead the world in everything, was the most respected, the safest, etc. This was primarily because of all the post-war industry that was focused in the states. Some people say it was because America was like 70% white, and homogeneity does have a noticeable affect on crime, but the industry really held the country together. Now we have massive numbers of people on welfare, the only entry-level jobs left for the uneducated are fast food, and people are left feeling useless by our economic system. That is not the hallmark of a great country, and the people want to see the country made great again.
>>
>>67729626

Now, the propaganda.
Trump is the only nationalist running for President that has any chance of changing our trade practices and our economy. Global banks and corporations are exceedingly international in their practices, so a candidate that runs on a platform of closing their funneled revenue out of the country, shoring up trade to force companies to bring back their American workforce, limiting immigration to drive up American wages, and strengthening our position as a global leader as opposed to a global partner will be attacked viciously with as much propaganda as they can cook up. They spent $40 million in Florida alone trying to stop him from winning the vote. Think about what else they could've used that money for, what projects they could've funded, what businesses they could seed. Really, see who's trying to stop the man, then see where you stand.

Temporarily. There will be a bit of an economic shakeup in the short term. But an economy doesn't mean anything if there's no security. 11 million illegals amounts to an invasion by any other standard. If this happened during the Roman Empire they would say the barbarians are inside the gates.

Some say there are illegals who have been here for 20+ years. Well, do we let murderers get away if they aren't caught after 20+ years? A criminal is a criminal regardless of whether they get caught. There is no statue of limitations for illegal immigration. If people don't like the laws, they can take it up with Congress and change them. Otherwise, enforce the law!

You must be shit at finance if you think having a principle of 1 dollars is proportionally equivalent to having a principle of one million.

For example, you can't even open a savings account with an interest rate of .06% (the average rate of interest on a savings account and well below the rate of inflation which has been around 1.5% over the past five years or so) with one dollar. However with one million, you can invest in index funds which have had a rate of return of about 7% annually over the past five years.

So simply investing 1 million in an index fund would get you about 70k a year, which you could reinvest and get higher rates of return each year. A single dollar by itself cannot be invested at all.

Funny. He once named Clinton as a "smart" person who "does a good job" when it came to foreign policy. Was he lying then, or now?

Trump in 08:
"Hillary is smart, tough and a very nice person"

Trump in '11:
"I think you’ll be, you know, you’ll be looking at the record of Hillary Clinton. And how did she do as secretary of state? Probably above and beyond everybody else and everything else. "

Trump in '12:
"Hillary Clinton I think is a terrific woman. I am biased because I have known her for years. I live in New York. She lives in New York. I really like her and her husband both a lot. I think she really works hard. And I think, again, she’s given an agenda, it is not all of her, but I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job. I like her."

It's called bringing things down to what a person can understand. Even if you had a 7% annual rate of return on a dollar that's only 7 fucking cents. Holy shit you won't even be fucking close to 10k in 20 years if you simply invest in index funds.

Yeah? Try applying for a job a top finance firm in NYC. They'll want to see your transcripts. Some places even tell you outright not to bother applying unless you have at least a 3.5 GPA. Unless you're going to be applying to Walmart store manager, your grades do in fact matter.

>$200mil
The inheretence was split five ways with his siblings. Including the initial loan, $41mil. Paris also hasn't created jobs, or really do anything with her money besides letting her parent's financial advisors do everything for her, with the hotels she never had any part in passively making her far more wealthy, of course. Do they teach you guys how to handle currency in Cana... never mind.

>Paris also hasn't created jobs
She has an international fashion line, produced a television show, and is a shareholder in one of the largest hotel chains in the world. I'd say that qualifies for "created jobs".

I'm sure her managers, lawyers, and accountants did most of the work involved with all of that. But I'm also sure the same could be said of Trump.

The past few months, some Fortune 500 companies have skipped over college graduates because they just don't have any experience, and typically prove to be useless on the job. You can Google it yourself. School's not impressive anymore.

You're so full of shit it stinks. They know the specific candidate they want to hire for the position, but they can't legally hire cronies unless no one else fits the bill for the position so they tailor the job ads to meet the exact criteria of the guy they want, which effectively, removes any real chance of competition for the job. In other words, you're not supposed to be hired for the position.

Not the person who called OP a shill but this argument is easily countered:

Paris Hilton Net Worth: 100 million

Donald Trump Net Worth: 4.5 billion

So if your initial 5 million is true, then Paris earned a 190% of her initial investment and Donald earned 215% of his initial investment (with more earnings proportionally)

So your argument is not only stupid, it is also incorrect

Trump has advisors, of course. Nobody with that much money handles it completely alone. He does do a brunt of the work, however. That's more than can be said about a person that had her parent's influence rub shoulders and fill pockets until she could slap her name on things. Not that she couldn't actually be intelligent - there is a conspiracy that The Idiot is an act for her celebrity.

As it stands though, her few ventures (if she had anymore part than pointing at a line and picking the font) still don't compare to the hundreds of businesses and thousands of deals Donald has either made, been an advisor of, or gave money to for start-up. He's spent billions on top of having billions instead of hoarding it like a Jewragon. He's done more for the economy than Paris by leaps and bounds, at the very least.

You're the one full of shit. You're just talking out of your ass. Here's what really happens. Go to an elite school, major in math or economics, get As, talk to recruiters when they are on campus, apply, interview a few times. Then you're hired.
I'm talking about analyst positions, not VPs the do coke in the board room all day. For the positions that require a high level of quantified analysis, you want smart people. Not some jackoff who was your frat boy. They can be brokers or some other job the requires more people skills than smarts. It's a very rigorous process and since they're the one collecting and analyzing the data that means the difference between profit and loss, it's a very selective process.

>>67737205
>the past few months
It isn't recruiting season, dipshit. It's like you people read some sky is falling bandwagon article and think that's the gospel truth. If you want to work at a top company, you go to a top school, and you get recruited. They come on campus, interview people and hire them. If you're just some jackoff who went to Local State University, you aren't getting hired, because you're not good enough. And that's the majority of people. But for smart people, who got good grades in high school and good grades in college, they get six figure salaries right after graduating.

I'm sorry if that shatters your world view. But grades are part of a vetting process of who is allowed upward mobility, and who manages the Walmart down the street.

and yet how many people win the lottery and wind up completely broke and with DEBT within the next five years?

>He does do a brunt of the work, however.
Prove it. Prove that he personally made deals and not his lawyers. Otherwise I'll assume you're talking out of your ass because you've bought into his brand like a chump.

>He's done more for the economy than Paris by leaps and bounds, at the very least.
In what way? Buy driving up real estate prices in NYC? Buy building casinos that suck money out of the local economy? Buy developing country clubs that no one but the elite can visit? By what leaps and bounds has he raised the US economy specifically?

>>67738856
No shit. Because they don't know how to handle the money. If you're born into it, you learn that shit from day one. If you're trailer trash and win the lotto, you buy a mansion, a boat, three cars and a bunch of other shit. You don't properly invest it. You don't manage your spending. Next thing you know, you can't afford your mortgage or Bentley payment and you're bankrupt.

Of course smart people usually don't play the lottery in the first place, which is why you typically see idiots winning and losing it all in a short period of time.

Who are Cruz and Kasich talking with?

>>67738886
>In what way has he helped the economy?
>Spent billions on personal items, start-ups, jobs, millions on this campaign.
You ever look up how our economy works? Even if he only had a theoretical $10bil (he claims to have $10bil) because it's sitting on assets, he had to pay money for those assets. The money circulates throughout the economy. When someone wealthy hpards their wealth in a bank or just renovations on their hotels, it sits there doing not one single thing for anyone in the nation. Spend more = do more. Capitalism at work. His lavish home, which you should Google and Jack off to, is just one of the many things he bought himself while putting money back into the system.

>Prove he does a brunt of the work.
I don't work for him, but all his employees say he's an astronomical hard-ass. He's a dealmaker, he's a hard-headed alpha male A1 Prime. You think he'd sit back and tuck his cock in between his thighs like you would at a meeting table? Not a chance, tipper.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about. I've given a detailed walkthrough of the process. All you're saying is "nut-huh! lol!" You've provided no convincing argument as to why this process (which I've experienced first hand by the way) isn't real.

Go talk to senior year econ majors at Harvard or Yale in a couple of weeks. See how they describe the process that they're experiencing. Or don't. Avoid looking into it because you'd rather feel right than be right.

I have no reason to be bitter. I have a pleasant life because I worked my ass off as a teenager and in college. I know why and how grades matter, and I'm reaping the benefits. If I had to guess, I'd say that you want to pretend like trying doesn't matter, so it doesn't matter that you've never tried. Anything that challenges this view is upsetting to you because it means you could have made more of yourself if you put in more effort, but now it's too late. I'd guess that you are the bitter one, and now you're projecting your feelings onto others as a defense mechanism to cope with your shit life. But that's just a guess.

>He didn't start with $200 million

>implying you'd kill yourself in the same situation

>You ever look up how our economy works?
You realize that I wanted you to prove that he did more than Hilton correct? You've proven that anyone with wealth does equal amounts for the economy by investing. Try again, and this time use less platitudes, and more concrete examples. If you can't, you're too clueless to have an opinion on the subject.

>I don't work for him, but all his employees say he's an astronomical hard-ass. He's a dealmaker, he's a hard-headed alpha male A1 Prime. You think he'd sit back and tuck his cock in between his thighs like you would at a meeting table? Not a chance, tipper.
Branding bullshit. I want proof, not hearsay.

He only deals with people who can get the job done quickly and efficiently.
>>
These type of news don't change much, those who would vote for him naturally thinks he is smart enough to make decisions from the highest position in office and those who don't like him won't. He is disadvantaged in that he doesn't have experienced, credentialed experts backing him up, those who don't vote for him, but where things are going from bad to worse because experts say this is just the way things are, those who vote for him don't care.
