Was he a good President?
>>
>>67705243
Explain.
>>
>>67705210
Average. Better than obama
>>
>>67705434
What did he do good?
>>
>>67705319

He's the reason Obama was elected.
>>
better than obongo
other than doing 9/11 he was ok
he did a really good job in his first term desu
other than doing 9/11
>>
No. Invading Iraq was probably second only to Vietnam on the fuckup-o-meter.

No child left behind was a fucking disaster

And besides those two things, he did nothing of note.

So no, he was shit awful. At least Obamacare helped SOME people.
>>
>>67705210
Name one thing Bush did that benefitted America in the long term.
>>
>>67705575
What did he do good?
>>
>>67705210
Best president since Nixon
And Nixon was the second best president of the 20th century(Coolidge is numero uno)
>>
>>67705732
No Child Left Behind which made it so tests were standardized

The only reason the economy sucked under him was because of something Clinton did in the 90s.
>>
>>67705595
Invading Iraq was great. the OCCUPATION after it failed.

Ever read Hitchens? I guess he uses words that are too hard for your rednecks' brains.
>>
>>67705867
I like Nixon and Coolidge but what did Bush do? From what I understand he got us into war, increased Federal Spending, boomed the deficit, caused the recession, and took away freedom.
>>
>>67705319

Fucked up Iraq
Fucked up 9/11
Introduced massive surveillance state
Wasted conservative momentum/majority in Washington and did fuck all
Let beaners come across in droves

Google it if you need more nigger
>>
>>67705945
>Invading Iraq was great.
Why, Exactly? Because Saddam was a bad man?

As soon as he was gone there was a power vacuum. If we left after we invaded we'd have ISIS in 2005.
>>
Kinda
>>
>>67706240
From what I understand he caused the recession.
>>
he was president during one of the toughest 8 years as a country
>>
>>67705595
>Invading Iraq
How retarded are you? That went through both the congress and senate with almost unanimous decisions in both. Saying it's his fault we went there is like saying Tim Cook is the reason Apple has gone to shit
>No child left behind was a fucking disaster
Yet again not his initiative just something he got behind(and it's actually a good program it was just implemented by pieces of shit since state government education officials are the biggest dirtbags in all of politics) It's basically like FEMA, great idea but executed poorly due to flat out ignorance and terrible preparation as well as implementation.
>And besides those two things, he did nothing of note.
You're an idiot and most likely a child who didn't even have a job under his presidency
>>
>>67706294
The president has absolutely diddly fuck all with economic policy like the kind that caused the recession.

I wish people would stop fucking saying this.
>>
>>67706526
Then what causes recession. If it just happens by it self then our economic system is flawed.
>>
>>67706308
Stalin was Premier during the hardest years of the Soviet Union, too. He kept the nation running even as millions perished. Pretty admirable t b h
>>
>>67706634
Corruption in the regulating agencies basically

Watch the big short
>>
>>67705210
Nope. His poor management let the 911 attacks succeed. He raised the cost of senior drug coverage to a point that he destroyed the budget. He pretended to be interested in stopping terrorist, as an excuse to attract a completely unconnected nation, with consequences we are still dealing with.
>>
>>67705210
He kept America safe on 9/11, sent 5,000 American soldiers to their deaths in Iraq, squandered trillions in foreign wars, turned a $263 BILLION budget surplus into a $1.4 TRILLION budget deficit, doubled the national debt, crashed the US economy and left America on its knees so yeah... Republicans naturally love him and think he was great. Same with /pol/
>>
>>67705210
No, but it's easy to make that mistake after 8 years of Obama.
>>
>>67706496
Can you name some of his accomplishments in domestic and economic policy?
>>
>>67705945
Do you not understand basic history? Once Sadddam Hussein and his Ba'ath goat fucker friends were put out of power, it crashed. It wasn't occupation. we literally went in and arrested their entire fucking government and then got surprised when shit went all to hell.

"Go home Iraqi soldier, with your AK-47 and your job in times of economic distress in your country"

And then get surprised when Al-Qaeda promises them $500 to kill a USA soldier and they do it? I don't even know how people are so fucktarded to believe anything about the Iraq War was a smart thing.
>>
>>67705210
no. he did not protect the nation from the great mexican invasion of the 2000s.
>>
>>67706702
If that's what caused it then how come every 7 years since 1913 we've had a recession and every 7 years before then we had a bank panic.
>>
>>67705595

No child left behind was a shit ton better than common core.
>>
>>67705210
You don't have to agree 100% with his policies.

A president that everyone loves or even just agrees with is pretty much impossible.

But, regardless of how to feel about him and his legacy, the man was a goddamned patriot. He loves his country.
>>
>>67706723
9/11 was honestly more Clinton's baby than anyone else. Dubya just had the misfortune of just settling into the office when it finally happened. Watch Path to 9/11...if you can find it. Billary did their damnedest to shut it down.
>>

I can literally copypaste that excuse and use it for Obamacare.

I don't see that. I see it as he sold out his country in exchange for bribes from oil companies. He also passed the patriot act which violated the constitution and did waterboarding which violates the constitution.
>>

Republicans can't be trusted with national security. They're basically inept at keeping the country safe. They admit that they can't keep America safe and that when a terrorist attack happens on their watch, it's the Democrats fault.

Bush was the catalyst for the destabilization of the middle east that led to ISIS and the migrant crisis. Sure there are deeper roots going back to at least the toppling of the secualar Iran government several decades ago, but invading Iraq and giving sociopathic muslims the idea they can just take over after the west gets rid of their dictators really was the last straw.

lol, wat? don't pretend that wasn't due to heavy propaganda and outright lies about intell on WMDs, where did they intell come from? From white house controlled departments.
and yes, they outright lied. If you read the interviews dick and ronsfeid have made sense, they make it very clear, they wern't themselves confused or anything, Bush just wanted to go after Saddam to "out do daddy". biggest fuck out sense Vietnam, isis anyone? Saddam hated terroists,

Reducing the movement of capital in an economy is never good, and reducing Federal taxes either causes the local governments to raise them to keep the infrastructure and it's systems running, or causes them to fall apart.

Republicans have never been about giving breaks to working stiffs. Maybe you should try books that don't have an ideology stamped on the cover.

Everyone knows that when Bush cuts taxes for the rich, they only get those tax cuts when the NEXT president enters office.

Likewise, when Obama passed Obamacare, Americans only start getting Obamacare when the NEXT president comes into office.

Yes if we stayed maybe things wouldn't be as chaotic, but when the hell would we leave? The US can't be the one trying to solve the world's problems with everyone else (particularly the rest of NATO and our middle eastern "allies") taking the back seat, it's not sustainable. Furthermore it seems like the longer the US stays in the middle east, the more upset people there get, which just boosts recruitment for terrorist cells.

several things here.
First every time they have tried that it didn't work
2. companies just tend to pocket the money and have their value go up, not actully make new factories or jobs.
3. In any economy the government is the biggest spender.
4. The problem with all above is economics don't turn on a dime, and you have to go back 8-15 years (longer then 2 POTUS administrations) to really see the effect of polices.
The whole 15% flat tax equals tons of growth is a fairy tail. Business types do business regardless of the tax rate.

He was the face of American Unjust War,
and made most of the free world angry at your country.

You will be feeling the repercussions of his presidency for decades, for crimes you didn't personally commit.

Nepotism in politics. Brilliant.

I probably wouldn't be here right now if that fucko had focused on Afghanistan instead of wasting time destabilizing Iraq.

You're welcome pal.

No he wasn't good by any stretch of the word. However at least he didn't hate this county and try to tear it down and rebuild into a progressive utopia.

This. 100 percent. He led the USA into a meaningless war against a secular government, while pretending to be fighting terrorism. However, at least there were still morals in this country under his presidency. Abstinence was taught in the classrooms. Interracial relationships were still taboo. I don't think the world will ever recover post-Obama and post-Kardashian/ Caitlyn Jenner. They are teaching kids in public schools about homosexuality now, despite the fact that the CDC estimates 1 out of 5 gay men have HIV.
