My parents enrolled me when I was 7 and I was in Catholic schools until high school graduation (18 years old).
There was no liberal ideology or shaming. The school was usually 80%+ white.
Roman Catholic theology was followed, which obviously means it went against social norms. Most of the people came out normal and not SJW cucks you see public schools producing.

Well my dad took me shooting a few times, I´ve gone fishing with the dad of my best friend back then, my grandad taught me to repair a lot of stuff.
And for the most times it was fun, definately didnt hate it.
Most importantly was that I was going on outdoor trips with my friends though, exploring the farmland and woods.
We also did a few camping trips over the weekends in the summer every year when we were teenagers.
Just being outdoors, experiencing it and also having a few scary moments (like being surprised by a thunderstorm at night during a camping trip) forms the character.
We even had a few (well 2-3 actually) situations which resulted in someone getting a panic attack.
The worst people are the ones that lived their whole live innacity and never got really out IMHO.
Also stuff like helping a friend out on their farm, killing a goose with a axe when I was ~10.
