It depends really. If the election looks like it is going to go for Hillary, they'll fall all over themselves to approve Garland. The Senate is very likely going to turn blue after the election because the Democrats are only defending ten seats while the Republicans are defending twenty four. Hillary with a Democrat controlled Senate will nominate and approve someone much MUCH further left than this guy.
