I disagree there. There was a valid point in modernism. A break away from the establishment in order to create great works without being constrained by the narrow scope of what at the time people called art. It still took great skill in order to produce. It turns out you literally can give people noise, and we will detect a signal if we look at it long enough. The problem here is, embracing false positive detection degrades skill, truth, and our ability to detect and work with the world as it really is. Post modern art is degenerate because it is an attack on our senses. It's not just saying there is value in trash, but that there is signal among noise.
