yes. The term is "strategy of the scissors" -the opposition was only there to favor the image of PT. For context, the "right wing" candidate who faced Dilma on the second term of the last elections is from the "Brazilian Social Democratic Party". The 3rd and 4th candidates with most votes were from the "Brazilian Socialist Party" and from the "Socialism and Freedom Party", al of which simply made PT look like a moderate-left party

>Reforms were probably made on it by state-controlled contractors (that is, he used public resources for his own benefit)

>Also, the current president, of the same party, is under the threat of an impeachment, under the legal pretense of doing some accountability trickery to hide her budget deficit, and under the public pretense of insatisfaction with her party's corruption and the economical flop, represented with a reduction of >4% of the GDP withing the last 12 months and, somehow, still a >10% inflation rate
>Largest protests of our history happened this sunday, targeted mostly against the 2 of them

Our ex-president Lula is involved in a massive corruption scandal, along with a shitload of politicians in all parties (even though his supporters complain that only his party is being investigated). He was being investigated (by the people who are arresting a shitload of politicians lately) but the current president Dilma, his puppet, just nominated him as Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, basically our Prime Minister, right when a lot of evidence against him began appearing. So now he has to be investigated by the Supreme Court instead, where 8 of the 12 judges were apointed by his party, which means that at the very least the investigations will be delayed.

The official justification is that he will hep the country get out of our current crisis, but that is bullshit since they could have done that nomination at any time but the timing is basically an admission of guilt. There have also been talks lately by the government of changing our political system to a parliamentary one where they could make him the actual Prime Minister.

Either way, this is effectively Dilma's resignation, since it means that even if she is right about the motivation she is officially giving Lula all the political power and getting herself to the position of a puppet of Lula that she always had unofficially.

What do you guys think of the fact the TTIP, TISA and TTP just established an international free-commerce and common-law alliance which includes 2 thirds of the global GDP but did not include Brasil, and is predicted to shift us out of the center of AmLa?
Obongo said it was largely meant to allow that the rules of world economics be written by the US and by people of equal values to them, and not by countries like China (or pretty much all of BRICS, which also didn't make the cut).
And what about the fact that Lula raised our national GDP within the 2000's largely by exporting ores to China? And now that he's back on power, and is losing traction with other countries in AmLa (see pic related, they now have tax incentives to trade within those treaties) could a new left-wing emergent alliance take place to oppose this huge libertarian act?
I'm not saying Cold War 2, but I'm implying it

Better image: these countries will start opperating with lower economical barriers among them. Brazil's economy will go to absolute shit.
Here are some other facts about these pacts
>Companies will be able to sue governments in an international court that doesn't respond to any of the country's constitutions.
>Parliament and congressmen all over the world were left out of the writing of these pacts, while many private companies had a hand in their writing
>According to WikiLeaks drafts, it will forbid access government to private source codes

The economy is in deep shit right now for four reasons:
1) We're mainly a commodity exporter, and china, our main buyer, lost steam.
2) The Saudis are trying to ruin Russia and Iran by bringing the Oil price down. We're an Oil exporter too, and have been hit hard by this.
3) The correct response to 1 and 2 would be the government to fund public works, for example to repair our shitty infrastructure (Keynesianism 101). This is not being done, because all the major civil engineering companies are paralysed by Lava-Jato.

3.5 (lol) ) people get afraid and spend less in times of crisis. Media has been manufacturing a crisis for years now.

That you don't know this and blames "the government" just shows the idiot you are. But go ahead and entertain us: Which actions "the government" took that tanked our economy so hard? Be specific.

Third world country with mixed brown niggers and no real culture of values, which breeds an environment where people rely on the government to survive and where a mentality that the government should provide for every part of everyone's lives.

Brazilians don't have a single shred of an idea of what freedom is, they will gladly put anyone in power as long as they promise free shit because that's what they think the government is about. If you tell Brazilians the best government is a government which governs the least, the vast majority of them will call you insane, because the idea that the government should take care of your entire life is so deeply rooted in their fucked up heads.

The same people protesting right now to take down the government are the same people celebrating when someone goes to jail for posting "racist" comments on Facebook, and the same people who will vote for the next leftist scum which comes up promising free shit and more government, they won't probably ever vote for PT again but they will vote for a different brand of leftism which is the same shit, because they don't see the actual problem and refuse to acknowledge that this IS about ideology, it IS about policies, not just "corruption" which doesn't exist in a vacuum and is a hard end result of those things.

Exactly. I think it would only make sense right now for the BRICS to either unite in a (fairer, less anti-population) free-trade agreement or individually take more hands-free approaches, each to their own economies. There's no other way for us to reach internationally competitive prices with any export, but all of these countries seem to be marching onward to the exploitation of the left

Based bro, this crisis wouldn't even be happening if Globo wasn't so obnoxiously loud. Everything was alright when that selected group of people were stealing the money. But once it went viral, Globo was so loud that the rest of the world decided to stop puting money and effort into Brazil and things went to shit. Keep in not that Globo kept its mouth shut until the middle of the World Cup, so their profit was guarenteed. They're fucking leeches.

Maybe let the fucking industries modernize instead of taxing the shit out of everyone. But no, let's just depend on commodities.

And racial divide here would be hilarious, since even people who look "white" sometimes have black ancestry and vice-versa (plus Asians and Native Americans), our country is too mixed for that. Someone like our ex-president Fernando Henrique Cardoso for example would be considered part of the "white elite" here even though he is mixed race and the kind of person /pol/ would make fun of if he called himself white.

When are we going to start listen to Olavo de Carvalho?
