So after seeing all the "match me" posts on Bernie's reddit and having a good laugh I started to realize I've seen this behavior before. I'm sure most of the college age people on /pol/ have seen "businesses" like Amway, Cutco, and Herbalife trying to recruit around your campus. Bernie's campaign is using the same tactics and targeting the same group of people as these "multi-level-marketing" schemes.

Now before you just dismiss this is another funny anti-Sanders meme hear me out, because I'm serious about this. In a pyramid scheme you have a shitty product, usually overpriced, that you know you can't make a good profit on. Here the product Bernie, who as many on /pol/ have noted doesn't seem to be trying to win, rather he seems to be trying to get more money for his campaign. That's why he attacks Trump instead of Clinton, he knows it won't gain him a single vote, but it'll make impressionable kids think he's cool and they'll send him their pocket money. Also much like in a pyramid scheme the goal isn't to move the shitty product, it's to get more people sending money "up" the Pyramid. This is where the "match me!" posts come in, Bernie's campaign isn't about attracting a winner coalition of voters, it's about finding that specific type of "voter" who will send you his pocket money and will try to get his friends to do it too.

Finally Bernie's campaign also targets the very impressionable and naive, where groups like Cutco and Amway promise that you'll make $15 or $20 an hour selling their shit door to door Bernie promises his own brand of free shit. There's a reason that pyramid schemes operate on college campuses, and it's the same reason Bernie is popular on them.

All of those "match-me" are posts made by Bernie campaign staffers looking to squeeze more out of deluded children. I have a feeling Bernie is going to get in hot water over his aggressive fundraising, I mean hell he's accepted donation money from foreigners which is completely illegal.

If true that just makes it so much worse. I used to think his campaign was pretty harmless but after that shit in Chicago I started looking at how he's running his campaign and it's borderline exploitation.

I've heard somewhere that if Sanders loses, all of the money he raised for his campaign goes to the party to fund the general election campaign. Or in other words it goes straight to Hillary. Is there any truth to that? If it is, then his entire campaign was likely a ploy from the beginning.
>>
>>67670934
Kek Bernie fags are so delusional. He's done. I'm glad they don't realize this though because it's hilarious.

General campaign funds can only be donated to charity or to a political party, and I'm betting Sanders will go with either the Clinton Foundation or the Democratic Party. It's been a fucking scam this whole time.
>>67671715
It's hilarious on /pol/ but in real life these people have families and shit that care about them. I don't know if you've ever had a family member or friend get sucked into that Amway or Herbalife bullshit, but it's not fucking pretty.
>>
no shit it is. he knew going in that he didnt stand a chance. all of this was a scheme to fill his pockets before leaving government. i forgot the SCOTUS ruling but it says any money on hand when you suspend your campaign belongs to you. and bernie had what $40 million in feburary alone.
open your eyes people, with all the democrats that are eligible to run, only bernie and o'malley are the two that ran against her
>>
>>67672187
This article says it can be given back to donors as well.

>Bernie, I cant feed my wife and her son.... Give me back the $1000 I gave you.
>>
>>67672187
I seriously doubt that any of that money could go to her, it would be literal suicide and loss of any trust from Bernie

If it does, that shit is fucked yo

>> "Give me an extra 500$ in taxes. Above 50% if you have a small business. And I'll fix failing government programs... that the government already has the budget for."

None of this sounds like a scam to SJW and Socialist Sanders supporters?

Why does OP believe that Amway and other type of network marketing companies a scheme?
They are giving you a product for your money, while pyramid schemes only give you empty words. That is the defining difference of the legal network marketing business and a pyramid scheme after all.

Also OP, how does this campaign differ at all from other past candidates campaigns that used the same rhetoric, yet have been perfectly legal? Bernouts have just a rotten brain and give money for exchange of empty words exactly like bigger donors bribe the politicians.
>>
>>67670499
>promise of impossibly high rates of return
>no risk
>possibility of failure is downplayed or aggressively disregarded
>scheme targets mostly young or uneducated people
>methods to achieve goals are vague or overly simplistic
>person behind the scheme is depicted as a guru
>unregistered investments
>implication that deadline to invest is fast approaching
>mysterious, overly enthusiastic community
>unregistered sellers
>Jews are involved

In any way, it's got all the Ponzi Scheme red flags.

There is definitely a line between "political campaign" and "scam" that can get crossed, but Bernie ain't crossing it - they're just in the death throes of the primary and in the "begging" stage.

OTOH the right has been doing this to their base for YEARS, with all the conspiratorial crap about Obama, FEMA camps, 9/11, etc etc. Mostly it's used to sell gold, guns, but occasionally a political candidate comes along (Carson comes to mind) with basically no shot who cons republicans out of their money and gives it all to his friends' companies.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/02/ben-carsons-campaign-is-still-spending-like-crazy/458925/

"I'll donate $X if you also donate X" is hardly to the same level as this shit.

Reading those testimonials is almost word for word like reading about people's experience with Amway.
>I gave a bunch of money now I'm stuck with nothing!
>I took out loans!
>I didn't feed my kids!
disgusting...
>>67672497
He doesn't give a shit, he's old as balls and his seat is in a deep blue state.
>>67672619
Technically yes you get a product, but the product you get is usually of poor quality or a price too high to realistically sell in large numbers. They're considered "schemes" because those companies don't actually try to sell the product they just try to get more people to "buy in." I mean for fuck's sake door to door sales were an obsolete model in the 60's, also who is delusional enough to think adding a dozen middle men is a good business model?
>>67672643
It was mostly the tone that made me start feeling this way. I've known several people involved in these things and they seemed to mirror the Sanders campaign perfectly.

>"Now I know what you're thinking, pyramid scheme. Well this isn't a scam, it's legitimate. What time can I come over a do a power-point presentation?"

I had some bitch I haven't talked to in five years call me up out of nowhere wanting to get me and my friends and family tied up into some shit where I sell granola bars and energy drinks.
>>
>>67673723
Was it that advocare bullshit?

This guy I know did that to me and I told him that shit was snake oil and he got pissed at me.
>>
>>67672002
He's "spending" money on "ads and organizing". He's probably put millions into hidden banks and fooled people into thinking it was spent on the campaign. The remainder goes to the DNC (they're like $6m in debt with $1m on hand) to reduce suspicion.
>>
>>67673723
>some bitch I haven't talked to in five years call me up out of nowhere

these calls make my spidey senses tingle within seconds

How does Bernie benefit from this?
>>
>>67673723
Some faggot in college that I had worked with on a group project two semesters ago tried to rope me into Amway out of the blue.
>Do you want to make some money on the side by starting your own business?
>Is this Amway?
>Amway is proven not to be a pyramid scheme, blah, blah, blah....
>Don't talk to me again

I'm sure his wife with lots of experience in Ad buys will help him out with that ...

>not realizing most companies are pyramid schemes
>not realizing life is a pyramid scheme

Knowing the fundamental framework of the game you play is paramount to achieving success at that game.

I know what you mean though. You mean unethical fundraising and debt servicing through vertically funneling funds and creative accounting.
>>
>>67670499

Interesting analysis anon. I'd say your on to something... what would you say the end game is then for bernie? Milk the rubes for temp gain and maybe pull a Ron Paul and guarantee income/influence?

Or is it the bernie campaign body itself just cashing in on children?
>>
>>67674139
I know the feeling, I got called by a guy I used to work with about a "new investment opportunity, don't have time to talk about it now, big money, blablabla." Now at this point I was a bit skeptical so I asked him what the product was and what company made it and he started getting all evasive. Finally I got him to admit it was Amway

Also back when I was in school Cutco was always trying to rope in suckers. A friend of mine and I decided to go to one of their "interviews" for shits and giggles, it was just down the street from my apartment so we walked down there after having a couple of beers and got ourselves kicked out for asking if the knives could melt steel beams.
>>
>>67673610
imo the "poor" quality is rather matter of an opinion, I mean look how much money people were ready to spend on Apple's watches.
I've been presented the Amway's plan and I was also told that I could buy the products and sell them forward (compared to door to door sales as you said), but when you think about it: what is the difference say to a franchise model?
You don't have a shop, that you've to keep paying for but you still sell some other company's products in the price they determine, while, you keep a share of the profits. I don't see anything wrong with it.

There are also hundreds of failed franchise shops around trhe world, yet you never hear from their law suits. Only nigger tier IQ habitant would take a shit tons of loans for their business' unless it's the only option there is.
>>
>>67674489
Maybe a bit of both, who knows. I think it's definitely unethical to ask these kids for money at this point when it's impossible for him to win, most of them are sheltered middle class white kids who aren't experienced with someone trying to rip them off like this and most of them don't know enough about the electoral process to realize that even without the superdelegates Bernie can't catch Hillary at this point.

All hierarchy is a pyramid scheme, you cuck! If you do something over and over again, why do you need supervision? There is no need for leadership in most things people do and even less reason for hierarchy.

The only reason for leadership and hierarchy is so that your boss can sit around while you and the others do their work for them.

You are so fucking stupid to think that every hierarchy isn't this way, and so fucking brainwashed into thinking your side is somehow immune, or is more loyal and pure that you point out a con artists technique that the other side is using that is being used on you!!

What a fucking retard!!
>>
>>67670499
It's nice to see others are finally waking up to this. Here's what he's going to do with all the money, he's going to buy a bunch of shit and then say it was all for his campaign and then keep it.
