Can someone who is not a complete political rube explain in explicit details WHY Donald Trump is a man worth being put into a position of power? I've read his policies and they seem completely impractical, at least non-passable. I've listened to a few debates and have heard nothing but ramblings of a broken record making empty promises. I can smell his Bullshit faster than Clinton's stank ass pussy.

Inb4 bernfag clintfag I haven't voted yet. Convince me /pol/. Make me believe America was ever great, and exactly HOW Drumpf is going to do it.

Coming from the guy who still uses Pepe memes
>>
What about his policies seems impractical? His tax plan seems realistic and conducive to a healthy economy, and his health care plan seems like a relatively free market approach which is always good.

Overall he's for less government involvement which will save money, he's very tough on immigration which will likely create and free up jobs and increase wages, possibly reduce crime everywhere but at least at the border. He's self funded so there's likely to be very little lobbying going on at all.

He's very nationalist, and countries with strong nationalism have shown to produce healthy economies and societies in the past.

So i'm curious where you think he's unqualified.

>many of his failed investments have led him to numerous bankruptcies.
4 out of 100+ is 'many' and 'numerous' now?
I'd also spend some time looking into the difference between personal bankruptcy and corporate bankruptcy.
>He's not financially reliant

Most of trump´s policies are centered around fixing shit that´s wasting resolutes and making them more "up to you". of course his tax plan can seem really stupid without knowing more policies.
First of all, healthcare. Obamacare is taking a toll on American ´s system, and trump intends to reform it, making it more open. honestly pic related can explain it to you in a better fashion, and you can see how much can the government benefit from this.
Second would be illegal immigration. it costs around 87 billion dollars to the government annually, and take a good part of jobs that could be fulfilled by legal americans. this would not only lift another weight to the goverment, but it would give lots of job opportunities to the unemployed american. Of course this would also mean that the prices of some products, made right now by illegals, would go up, but the tax plan would give americans the extra income necessary to afford that
finally, America has made in the last years horrible economic decisions and deals, including the upcoming TPP. America has to re-negociate this deals at all costs.
I know this is a really short explanation, but it should cover the basis

Thank you for little skepticism and a sensible answer. At least France ain't all fuck boys.

A) I can openly admit I failed to differentiate personal/ investment bankruptcies. I also didn't realize he's involved in more investments than I imagined. My b. But I also don't trust how he can claim the government will have limited power in the personal/business affairs, and yet the leader of our government is directly/indirectly funding public institutions... It doesn't make sense to me. Please Ellaborate how this isn't bias or leverage against the public?

B) but that's his money? And he'd only be taxing himself 25% instead of 37.something.... Don't get me wrong I hate paying taxes too but not at the cost of national educational funding.... Many schools currently are screwed over by budget cuts, the people can't afford to cut everyone's taxes.

C) But thing is, house and senate are already full of business people, rather than say lawyers. The flood gates have already been openned and the economy is where it stands today because of shady business practices. Id rather see a plotical muckraking than anything, but luckily most of the positions will be open and available this year...

People don't trust the establishment and trump is not establishment. The world is fucked up and there is a good chance that the corruption which has existed in washington for the last 40s is to blame. The entire power structure that has been built behind the scenes and operates in the shadows is about to be Trumped.

Now can you tell me a single better person alive today to retake the power of america and restore it to the voter?

>which is always good

except for when healthcare insurance companies decline to cover people with pre-existing conditions, leaving those people uninsured so they can't get healthcare until it becomes a full blown emergency. Instead of a $150 doctor's visit it becomes a $10,000 night in the ER. They can't pay so the hospital writes it off and passes the "savings" onto patients who can pay/have insurance.

What's most attractive to me is his stance on free trade: he's the only candidate willing to say that it's the cause of America losing it's manufacturing jobs, and willing to say he's going to reverse it and reintroduce tariffs on the worst offenders. Some of the policies that seem far-fetched otherwise make sense in this context: you can "make Mexico pay for the wall" easily by introducing tariffs on Mexican imports. America has virtually nothing to lose in a trade war with China: the trade imbalance is staggering, and while the Chinese send us cheap luxury goods, what little we send them is food, so their only play (to put tariffs on OUR goods) would increase the cost of food for their people, while our people would have to pay more for their sneakers and iPhones. China WILL blink first, and in the meantime, corporations will actually have an incentive to make things here again.

There's shit he talks about that isn't plausible as he's described it: there's not a good way to exclude Muslims from immigrating, either practically or constitutionally. I agree that we should not be taking refugees from countries infected with ISIS or Al-Qaida or other Jihadi groups, but how do we determine who is a Muslim and who isn't? No, we have to have a blanket ban on refugees from those countries, because what's to stop a Jihadi from claiming he's not a muslim? And I can't imagine the Supreme Court allowing the President to exclude immigrants based on their professed religion anyway.
>>
Last night Hillary said she would "stop deportations" in her victory speech.

We've gone beyond "path to citizenship" for illegals now. We are now on to flat out stopping all deportation and adopting an open borders policy that will destroy the country. That's all the reason I need to vote for Trump and it should be all you need too.

I hate that nobody seems to point out that this is his argument. When somebody wants to immigrate here we have to have a proper background check, we don't just ask them what their religious affiliation is and take their word for it. If they don't have papers and their country's government has no records they don't get in.

>What about deportation[s] though?
Of Muslims? He's never said anything of the sort. Of illegal immigrants? It's another somewhat unrealistic goal, simply because the manpower required to find all the illegals, correctly identify them as such, and physically move them back to their country of origin (they are not all Mexicans, so putting them in Mexico would not be correct) is daunting. I expect that Trump knows this, and his claims that we'd be free of Illegals in a year is just bullshit. That's why we've seen nothing from him about things like massive budget increases to ICE or anything like that, because that would be a sign he means it: he doesn't, or so I assume.

There are a ton of things that can/should change. No legal unit within the United States should be allowed to willfully defy its immigration laws ("sanctuary cities") and officials who do so should be removed from office at least, more preferably charged with a crime. Corporations and individuals knowingly employing an illegal immigrant should be charged with a crime; they are accomplices. When our law enforcement officers detain an individual who later turns out to be illegal deportation should be automatic. This isn't racist to say this: the policy should be no different for a Mexican here illegally than for a Frenchman here illegally. This wouldn't even require a change in the laws: this is already how the laws are written, we just need an administration willing to enforce them.

Getting a flu shot is a convenience. Because the flu is a bag of dicks and nobody wants to deal with that shit after it spreads around the disgusting masses when you inevitably have to go to a public place.
>>

No nation in the world recommends anything close to the aggressive schedule of vaccines suggested by the US Federal Government, and in many cases these guidelines are de-facto requirements because the public schools require full compliance.

There ARE possible complications due to vaccinations including death and brain damage. Increasing the number of vaccines given at once DOES increase the risk of complications. NO, vaccines do not cause autism.

Obviously, I don't agree with Trump's statement that vaccines cause autism, but I DO agree that the USA should change it's recommendations to the same standards recommended by Europe and Canada. I am in violent opposition to any sort of mandatory vaccination policy; I do not agree with people who refuse any and all vaccinations, but I support their right to make that decision for themselves and for their children 100%.
>>
>>67666291
Here are the issues with which Trump and I overlap:

>Trade policy
I do agree that other nations have unfair business practices that make it impossible for the US to compete on the same level of manufacturing. However, I do not think tariffs would solve it. If there is one positive of this import-relationship we have, it is that we can get cheaper "luxury" (very middle class luxury imo) goods. If I recall correctly, the latest of the BLS statistics for the amount of manufacturing jobs still in america is less than 20%. We beat all these other countries with service and high tech jobs. We do not have to return to these manufacturing positions to make more jobs, but rather entice people to continue education and work in these jobs. However, if needed, America should probably lower its coroporate tax rate and increase the income tax by a small amount. Protectionist policies, especially tariffs hurt the consumer much more than the producer initially.

>Immigration
Trump's stance is identical to mine: legal immigration should be more streamlined, easy, and secure; illegal immigration should be impossible. People try to guilt trip me into the "my friend was from an illegal family, they work hard, and pay all their bills" but those are anecdotes. I understand that they are good people, maybe they can even get amnesty, but in order to maintain the nation "America" we have to have clearly defined borders. This does not mean banning all immigrants, immigrants can certainly come if we are sure they will fully integrate into American society, just it must be legally. As for Muslims, I do agree that there ought to be a SHORT moratorium on Muslims immigrating. Perhaps six months, within which the country will hopefully work with the world to annihilate ISIS.

Do you think a brown America will function the same way? Do you think brown people will stop voting based on race? Do you think your country's IQ doesn't matter? So you think brown people won't assault your children when your children are no longer the majority? Do you understand this video?

When he says "muslim", he means "hardcore allahu ackbah terrorist muslims", the likes of which will never travel without a copy of the quran, a hijab collection, and a prayer mat. Beside, his plan exists as a preventive measure (strictly control who gets in to reduce the amount of terrorist threats), not a racist or religion discrimination tactic.

>house and senate are already full of business people, rather than say lawyers.
There's loads of lawyers in the government. Hell Hillary is one. What should really bother you, and what bothers me, is how few STEM people are in there. We see this in all western countries. Politician shouldn't be a job, it should be something you do because you can actually mean something to your country.

If you look at China for example, their government is almost fully made up of engineers, physicists etc. Their economy is growing like no tomorrow. Correlation isn't causation and stuff but it's not that crazy to think that smart people make a smart government.

>but that's his money?
I still don't know exactly what you mean. Is your point that he's only running for office to save his businesses a couple of percent in taxes? I find that highly unlikely. With all the time and money he's putting into this campaign, that kinda return really isn't what you'd be looking for. Investing in construction is much more lucrative.

This guy makes about 250 million a year, so assuming a 10% increase of that and a 4 year term, that's gonna make him 100 million dollars for 5 years of work (1 year running for president). I'm pretty sure that's just not worth it for him.

Overall Trump doesn't seem ill-willing to me. The top things people seem to have against him are
1)He's racist. Which seems very unlikely
2)He looks funny. I don't think you should judge a candidate based on his looks
3)He hurts people's feelings. This really isn't something you should be worrying about.
4)He's in it for the money. This also seems a long shot.

Other than that i really really don't see what you could have against the man. He comes across as genuine, he doesn't rehearse speeches, he's not taking donations from special interest groups, the establishment is shitting itself over him which should tell you a lot. I'm not even from the USA and he's making me want to make america great again.

There are multitudes of reasons why Trump should NOT be president. He's a reality TV show man, all he's doing is saying whatever the hell is loud and polarizing. He constantly contradicts himself and goes back on what he's said so that both the most extreme racists and the moderately racist think he's supporting their views. He's doing whatever he can to appeal to the largest crowd, which is the under educated average citizen. He has no substance, he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing, and he has no regard for human life. He's in favor of committing war crimes (AKA GENOCIDE) on muslims int he middle east. "Have to go after the families of the terrorists". Do you know that doesn't make any LESS terrorists? The people who survive the bombings or people from neighboring cities that have loved ones die get ALL THE MORE REASON TO HATE AMERICA. If we stoop to the level of terrorists, WE ARE THE BAD GUYS.

And he's a complete fraud, his wealth is based on his ability to lie and rip off mexicans. He's had multiple bankruptcys IN WHICH he bleed the companies out with his lawyers, walked off with all the money and left all of his workers without jobs or compensation.

He's a fraud and you should not believe anything he says. He doesn't care about the average citizen, and he's conning America.

So who makes the judgement call? There needs to be a clear policy in place, or our immigration protections will be as weak as the laziest, or most complicit, immigration official. You really want to say that people carrying a certain book or article of clothing are inadmissible? The ACLU will have an injunction on that within a week, and it would be in front of the Supreme Court in a year, and the whole time its pending in the courts the administration's hands would be totally tied on any useful measures to protect our country.

The ban needs to be in the form of a list of nations from which refugees and immigrants are not allowed. No mention if Muslim, Islam, the Quran, or any associated items should be mentioned even in passing. Immigrants who cannot prove conclusively where they are from must be automatically excluded from consideration.

$12 trillion dollars in tax cuts is not going to be made up by just about any amount of growth in GDP, it's too large of a gap, and his stance on keeping entitelment programs the same aside from eliminating "waste and fraud" is not going to make up the difference either. They're not going to make up the lost revenue.

We're talking about increasing our federal deficits by about $1 trillion a year. We're talking about tripling the deficits we already have, these are worse deficits than even the height of the recession in 2009 when we were bankrolling the banks. Our economy would have to pretty much double in size to bring in the tax revenue we'd be missing. We would hit a debt of $30 trillion dollars by the time his second term was over.

To people saying that banning muslims from immigrating in to the US would be unconstitutional.

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.

If any of you all had decent history teachers, you would know that this is exactly what we did to Germans, Italians, and Japanese during WW2. Hmmm, what a prudent thing to do! Don't accept people in to your country from countries which you are at war with.

Also, people seem to be failing to separate the race (Muslim) from the religion/political system (Islam).

But that would imply most Ameticans have the drive to achieve higher education... Which unfortunately we don't. The average Ametican has a 6th grade education, so I fear Trump is using promises of no taxes to bait the uneducated.... But then again all polticians need bait. I completely agree with you though, we need more people going into STEM fields, politician or not. And I also agree it could easily be the cause of China's more recent economic success, but again just as you said.

And I see your point about his money, I was just clarifying that his billions are not the country's wealth, I thought that was what you were implying at first (sorry didn't mean to belittle your Intel, was just miscommunication).

Honestly my biggest complaint with him was #3, he calls people out for the shittiest things but can't take a little heat himself. I just think he can be an unnecessary asshole, which I fear could intervene with international or public relations... But I'm honestly throughouhly surprised by the amount of Europeans supporting him... This is EXACTLY why I chose to come here to discuss deets than say through Facebook. Thank you for some perspective anon, and for being a /pol/bro.

MY BAD, FUCKING HIGH SCHOOL THEN JESUS CHRIST. Facts get dated and rehashed over time you don't have to act like a piece of shit. Also by that chart, less than 30% of the population has achieved higher education, so don't even act like that's something to be proud of. While nearly the majority of the population (least by this shitty chart) between 25-30 only have basic high school education... Nearly 7-13 years post graduation. If you don't think information changes over time and that in also that same gap, if not pursuing continual education, you WILL lose that knowledge. So yes my bad, I provided false dated information. But don't go acting like these numbers are something we should be proud of, we're still leagues behind in quality of public education nigger.
