There's no reason those should've gotten lost. I voted in MO yesterday and you had 2 choices - a paper scantron ballot or the computer. I did paper and the machine scans your ballot as you deposit it and the paper ballot is stored in the machine. Literally no way for votes to get misplaced

They recounted a few precincts to see if Cruz could win. That actually ended up giving Trump an even bigger lead since apparently "minor mistakes" were made in Cruz favor. Then they recounted with the same results. And now they're counting again trying to find a way it makes Cruz win.

This is the problem with a winner take all state. It's really nice when you've got 5k+ votes in the lead, but when its this close, they fucking count and recount and recount again. If this happened in a state that divies up delegates, they would just give 40 percent to Cruz, 40 to Trump, etc, etc.
Of course, when the candidate you want to win actually does, that makes the victory all the more sweet.

the secretary of state in MO said they are waiting for absentee ballots from overseas till Friday... Cruz campaign said they have not asked for a recount and have no plans at this time to do so.
I see no reason why they should be allowed under federal election laws to permits any ballots not received by the date of the primary to be counted.. that is just unreasonable..
Claiming voter disenfranchisement excuses the laxity of both the state election system and overseas MO voters.
If for instance the state knows they sent X number of ballots out but have yet to receive them all back in my opinion they have no requirement to suspend certifying the results as they stand and holding the election up for what what may prove to be nothing if no further ballots arrive..
If you're sending an absentee ballot from overseas you should be required to have it in the mail in time to have it counted by the date of the primary or not have it counted..
If I walk up to a polling place the day after the primary they won't let me cast a vote..

Which means it's:
12 delegates awarded to winner of statewide vote
5 delegates for each of the 8 congressional districts won.
Total of 52. I think Trump is set to take 42/52 right now
