Some poll I read a while ago, made by Fox and posted in the National Interest, said that 50% of Democrats felt disappointed with their party. And that is just the affiliated. Presumably the rate of disappointment would be higher in the unaffiliated who vote Democrat.

That "political revolution" is being suppressed by a party establishment that isn't even trying to hide their bias and outright contempt for the base, who sees Hillary as a neoliberal sellout. Nothing alienated and disenfranchises the base quite like the perception that the establishment is conspiring against them, and that's just as true for left as it is for the right.

I actually attribute this to why Sanders was even considered. The amount of times people screamed "Obama is a socialist and the country is ruined" desensitized most of the youth vote to how bad actual socialism would be. The way the Democratic nomination process works makes it a long battle if someone well funded can stay in and actually win contests because its proportional all the way through.
At this point Ron Paul and all others probably dropped out and the winner take all primaries probably finished. Republicans make it where near the end you can just deliver the knockout blow with winner take all states unless your opponents intentionally want to derail the convention like Kasich wants.
