Paulescu discovered it 3 years before them,but since he was anti-jewish, and a founder of Iron Guard, he was denied the prize.
In 1916 Paulescu obtained a fat tissue from pancreas who after being injected to a dog with diabeets, it lowered the glucosis in blood.After the first WW he retaked his research and succeded in isolating the hormone whom he called Pancreatine.
