I lost all my old friends because they didn't like me being "religious", and then I got some new Catholic friends, but then I realized, like most young Catholics, they were liberals who didn't really believe in the religion, and I've lost their friendship because I've shilled for Trump (yes Canadians talk about American politics as much as you guys do).

Protestant service is basically pastor talking and people singing from the book when told - the "religious service" is nah rudimentar and nonexistant so you might be not familiar with holy rites. Catholics have it better, since they didnt completely scrap it unlike Protestants.
For orthodox, process of worship is important and not just holy texts - ritualized, theatralized, with fancy clothes, horus etc.
That said how flashy/ritualized it is depends on which Church you`d go and the which event/service.
