He has said that he will pay the legal fees to anyone who punches the protesters. He's refused to encourage his supporters to take a non confrontational approach. I have no doubt that there are many people who show up at Trump rallies just to shit on him and yell derisive comments, but given his record, I'd say a lot of those comments are deserved.
