I don't get it. Why does the rest of the world use Celsius? It doesn't make sense.
We use Fahrenheit and not Celsius because a 0-100 scale of measuring temperature makes a lot more sense to a human. We know that 0 is really fucking cold and 100 is really fucking hot, which makes sense. Celsius, however, is just about how water responds to temperature, and makes no sense when applied to humans. Fahrenheit is for people, Celsius is for water. And i am a people not a water

Metric is standard retard. Just because you call a pile of shit a rose doesn't make your mother's son a rose.
Metric is sometimes superior but really we'd be best served by a more anthropocentric base-10 system. The length of the meter is completely alien to human beings, we should use something like 1/5 or 1/10 of the average human height as the base unit.

>>67586364
>The length of the meter is completely alien to human beings
Correction, it's alien to americans because you have been brought up on arbitrary measurements.
The only reason you are comfortable with imperial measurements is that you use them daily. If you switched to the superior logical way of doing things the imperial system would seem alien.
Example. How much does a gallon weigh?
1 liter is 1 kilo.
100 grams of water is 100 ml.

Obviously it would be based on the archetypal adult white male. The system retains all the precision and accuracy of metric but gains the everyday utility of anthropocentrism. Of course average height is just one example (whih has additional political and ideological benefit; eugenics), but I'm sure there are many others that are far more human than the almost totally arbitrary foot and meter.
>>67581250
Kelvin>Celsius>farencuck

>>67584441

>>67588770

If the imperial system is superior why to you use a base 10 system for money.
Wouldn't it be better to get rid of all those 'complicated' 1, 10 and 100 dollar notes and replace it with 'simple' imperial system notes.
12 cents could be a dollar.
Dollars could only come in 3 dollar bills.
And the only large bill could be a 1760 dollar bill.
That would make so much more sense because people understand those measurements much better.
