Post yfw when the first person on Mars is a woman & she takes the opportunity to preach about feminism

that'd be taken as narcissistic in the textbooks, I'd say

Moon would still be remembered first

I wouldn't care that they were a woman. It actually makes sense as women are lighter and need less food.

I would be sad if the opportunity is used to promote a petty political issue like feminism. If the first human to another planet was female you can be pretty sure that feminism would be unnecessary.
>>
Wait. We're going to Mars now?
Isn't it like a 6 month trip?
>>
>>67568578
>are lighter and need less food.
they are also significantly less capable of manual work and the transit may weaken their bones and muscles to a point of near uselessness, whereas a man can at least have a little muscle leftover.

But the moon is the first extraterrestrial body we landed on, as well as being the final destination for the 60's space race.

You are lucky, you can read about the SLS and Orion spaceship that are planning to take us to Mars by the 2030s. If Trump is elected, we go to Mars in 10 years.

Nah, Moon had all the hype of the Cold War and the drama behind the Space Race. Mars will be big, but the history that is remembered is the juicy part. "All nations cooperated peaceful" is awesome for people that live in irl, but boring otherwise.

The psychological evaluations they have to go under will easily boot them.

If you save up money now and are among the first 10,000 settlers on Mars, you have a decent chance of entering the history books as the first murderer on Mars.

>so yeah, women first

If our space program were in a position that required them to send a woman so she could preach about Feminism, they sure as fuck wont be making it to Mars.

Vote Trump.

It's a shame that the scientific achievement of actually landing people on Mars is being overwritten by those that want to deny the scientific differences that exist between the sexes. Yes, the majority of things a man can do women can also do but this isn't about which sex is stronger. This is supposed to be an achievement for all of us, or at least whichever countries take part in it.

They're insane just like other women.

>Astronaut Lisa Nowak drove from Houston to Orlando, Florida, on February 4–5, 2007. She packed latex gloves, a black wig, a BB pistol and ammunition, pepper spray, a hooded tan trench coat, a 2-pound drilling hammer, black gloves, rubber tubing, plastic garbage bags, approximately $585 (USD) in cash, her computer, an 8-inch (20 cm) Gerber folding knife and several other items before driving the 900 miles (1,400 km) to Florida. Early police reports indicated she wore space diapers during the trip, but she later denied wearing them. On February 5, 2007, Nowak went to the Orlando International Airport, waited for about an hour in the baggage claim, and then proceeded to the airport parking lot, where she located and confronted Shipman, who had just arrived from Houston by plane.

>Shipman said that after arriving, she was aware of someone following her to an airport satellite parking area. When she got into her car, she heard running footsteps and quickly locked the door. Nowak slapped the window and tried to open the car door, asked for a ride, then started crying. Shipman rolled down the window a couple of inches after which Nowak sprayed the pepper spray into the car. Shipman drove off to the parking lot booth where police were summoned. Several Orlando Police Department Airport Division officers arrived minutes later, with the first officer observing Nowak throwing a bag into the trash at a parking shuttle bus stop. Nowak was subsequently arrested at Orlando International Airport on charges of attempted kidnapping, battery, attempted vehicle burglary with battery, and destruction of evidence. In a handwritten request for a restraining order against Nowak after her arrest, Shipman referred to Nowak as an acquaintance of a boyfriend but did not identify Oefelein, and also claimed Nowak had been stalking her for two months. Nowak told investigators she was involved in a relationship with Oefelein which she described as being "more than a working relationship but less than a romantic relationship". Citing evidence of elaborate planning, disguises and weapons, police recommended she be held without bail.

Women are crazy. It's in their nature. If they're going to screen the first question should be "Are you a female?"

And psychological screenings fail all the time. It's a feel good busy work task that only catches the most obvious problems.

No-one will go to Mars in our lifetime. I don't understand why people even want to. What the fuck is the point of sending humans to Mars anyway? Just to say we did it? Because it's "the next big thing" after the moon? Space exploration is extremely costly and dangerous and should be done thoughtfully, for a reason. It isn't just some checklist of shit for us to"conquer"

Seriously give me a good reason why humans should go to Mars, what can people do up there (that's useful) that robots can't?
>>
>>67582138
there isn't any. also, it is practically impossible for a human to survive the trip. the radiation is intense enough to kill someone in a short amount of time
>>
>>67567171
>Implying a woman would ever get to Mars lolololololololololol
The Mars Meme must end, American space travel has reverted to an older time, we have to show we can return to the moon and research zero atmosphere colonization before any mars mission will work
All of this talk about women on mars is a fucking meme, that's all

>the scientific community is stunted once again
>nobody remembers her name or what she did

Yes she was allowed to be the first person on a different planet because she was a woman, clearly men are sexist.
>>
>>67570462
Why be the first murderer when I can be the first God King of Mars and rewrite the entire history of Mars before Earth can reestablish contact?
>>
>>67567670
People look up in the sky in awe of the moon. It's the largest body. Mars represents a larger stride, but kids don't grow up looking into the night sky at mars, they look up at the night sky seeing the moon.
