That really depends on the person, before internet porn then yeah i only spent a short time watching porn. But with internet porn an average session for me was about 4-6 hours, and the longest 17 hours. I've finally managed to quit porn though.
I would argue that except in cases of addiction, video games are a net good. Men require vicarious outlets for masculinity, and in a society that is constantly demonizing achievement, conflict, competition, etc, and where sports are not readily available to the average smuck? IMO video games are the greater evil since they are a huge time sink and other than the competition which i do agree with you on, they offer no such benefit to society in that you learn very few practical skills and the act of playing games doesnt contribute to fitness or even attractiveness.
