I lived in Peru for 10 years. Really chill place with some of the most beautiful landscapes and coolest Pre-columbian sites in SA.
Chile is legit too. Both of those countries got a lot of German immigration during the 19th century and you can still run into people speaking German.
Most people don't know much/ care about those two countries much and the locals just carry on with their lives and enjoy themselves.

Venezolan reporting in, can confirm it's the shittiest country of the entire world atm. On the other side, we got hot girls, nice landscapes, beaches and awesome climate all the year.
