Depends on where you lived. My grandparents were fighting at the Russian front, but at my great-grandfather's farm it was business as usual (except sometimes they had Russian prisoners of war working on the farms). The cities and the areas near the border got bombed more often than the rural areas, but most of the time people tried to go on with their everyday lives.

We had an argument, I don't know about what but he pushed me twice while we had our dispute.
