No one actually wanted Trudeau in power. It was simply the only possible realistic choice. I've been a Tory voter since 2008 but Harper was going to destroy the Conservative party. We NEEDED him to lose so he'd finally step down and a viable alternative Conservative candidate would take his place. However, there is absolutely no way any Tory voter would ever cast a ballot for the NDP, because they want to sell the nation out to the inbred retards and indians.
On the flip side, all left-leaning voters decided that the best way to get rid of Harper was for them to "vote strategically" (a complete affront to the very idea of democracy) and thus most of them ended up voting Liberal so long as it meant no Conservative MPs were elected.
The result is that while the vast majority of voters lean towards either Tory or NDP, both ended up voting Liberal out of sheer desperation as ten years of one of the worst governments possible came to a boil.
It wasn't our fault. Trudeau just got lucky.
