My dad and brother were pretty surprised when I told them I had voted for UKIP in the general election and made fun of me at first, but I think I'm now pretty close to converting my dad and my brother grudgingly respects at least my ability to argue my points. I can be pretty convincing in one on one conversations and have definitely turned most of my friends a lot further right than they would be otherwise.

I can't vote Trump, but I was sitting in my car and a news story about Trump came on the radio. Dad, who has always been the "socialist" type starts talking shit about Trump, so I started to explain a few of his policies, how he wants to deport illegal immigrants, Trumps position on American industry and how it should be kept in America etc. There is quite bit of foreign companies taking jobs in my dads industry, and he doesn't like immigrants (especially muslims),so these two points was enough to make him change his mind.
