Sanders is losing hard -- his supporters aren't even old enough to vote. It will mean absolutely nothing if he loses the nomination because all the Democrats are voting for Hillary regardless. At most he may draw enough Dems away to hand the win over to the Republicans but he has no chance of winning 3rd party.

The only collapse may be with the GOP, if a brokered convention gives it to not trump.
A real collapse could happen if both parties split. Everyone knows if your candidate goes 3rd party, they'll split the vote. Both trump and sanders would have to run 3rd party concurrently, else the opposite major party would destroy them.

Depends how it happens. Bernie won't get nominated, but the Dems are too pussy now to go riot over it again. If the GOP screws Trump out of the nomination after he has a big majority, I don't want to be around to see what a Republican riot looks like. I think you will see some interesting races in the future because of Trump, though. He might encourage some people to run that otherwise wouldn't.
